I am raising this complaint against S.P. Mandali's Prin. L.N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research, Mumbai.I had paid the first installment fees of 354006(Three lakhs fifty four thousand and six rupees) on 20 July 2023.As per AICTE norms, I had applied for cancellation/refund of my admission on 8 th of September 2023 before the deadline as mentioned in the AICTE rulebook for 2023.The college has returned only 236333(Two lakhs thirty six thousand three hundred and thirty three rupees) as refund, deducting 117673(one lakh seventeen thousand six hundred and seventy three rupees) as cancellation charges. As per AICTE guidelines only 1000 rupees is meant to be deducted as cancellation charges, but in spite of requesting multiple times through emails and calls, the college is not refunding the rest of the money.I haven't been to campus even once nor attended a single lecture neither stayed a single day at hostel.
As I belong to a very poor family, I am requesting Consumer Court to look into this matter and give me justice.Following are my details :_

Fee Refund Policy

With reference to the refund of Fee Policy, we would like to state that as per AICTE Process Hand Book 2023-24 –

“In case, if a student leaves after joining the Course and if the vacated seat is consequently filled by another student by the last date of admission, the Institution must refund the Fee collected after a deduction of the processing Fee of not more than â‚¹1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) and proportionate deductions of monthly Fee and hostel rent, where applicable”

Our PGDM Batch for Academic Year 2023-24, commenced on August 2nd, 2023 (Mumbai) and August 3rd, 2023 (Bengaluru).

If any student cancelled his / her admission after the commencement of the course, as per the AICTE’s rule we deducted Rs. 1000/-, as processing fee + proportionate deduction of monthly fee and hostel rent (if applicable) from his total fees. Details of it is as below:

Please note that there shall not be any refund after the Cut-off date i.e., 15th Sept. 2023

However, due to financial constraints, I am unable to fund my son's education, and as a result, I am unable to continue my education; I have not even attended any lectures or exams. I do not anticipate that the entire fee will be refunded, but I do anticipate that the fees for the remainder of the tri-semester will be refunded.
Please cancel my admission and refund my fee so that I can pay off my student loan.

This is to complain about your staff Roshani Vaswani. She is one of the worst person (completely unprofessional). Ever since the time i enrolled thru her she has stopped responding to my messages. I don't get any response from Roshani for any of my queries. I have attached the screenshot of the chats with Roshani Vaswani which will clearly show how unprofessional she is. I do not expect the entire fees to be refunded but the fees for the rest of the tri semester to be given back.

I m 1st year student of HPGD hybrid course, my Roll no. Is HPGD/ jl21/ 0585.

I have booked by end term exam from 4th July, while trying to give exam, the Portal was not detecting my ID id which i have downloaded from the student protal as i haven't received any hard copy of ID, I keep raising queries and complaint about this from portal in response i krpt receiving a exam details along with link of exam but nobody helped me out, its being two days, i won't be able to give exam, when you want us to pay the free i keap getting calling 5-8 tines in a day, and when i was in problem no body bother to solve this or to give a call back i want exam exam to be scheduled again on weekend without any charges.

Even please solve this ASAP

Hello,

I have taken admission for PGDM hybrid program and I paid 5000 rs as registered amount, But due to some reason I wanted to cancelled my admission and I want a refund for the same.

But (Alka Singh) she is denying for the same As she states that it is a registered amount then it will not be refunded.

And the person from the wellingkar's team with whom I coordinated that is (Harshad Dudhwadkar) stated while taking the admission that "pay this registered amount and it will get refunded, if in case we change our minds" But now even he is denying for the same.

The last registration date was on 31st march yet they forced me to pay immediately on same day that is on 25th March and it put the mental pressure on me and in that I payed the amount.

But now due to some financial condition I am not able to apply for the admission and need my amount back but they are denying their statements which they said earlier that the amount will get refunded.

I am not being heard and it is forcing me to find legal ways of redressal.

Lastly, I beg you to understand that it is just to pay me my refund.

Your response is hugely awaited.

I am getting constant messages from institute people who wants people to get or refer institute program.
I have already replied several messages stating i am not interested in your institute program, still i get messages with new numbers everytime.
Don't you guys have system where it is updated who is interested and not interested?
Please stop messaging as it is too much frustrating every time these messages pop up when i have already replied several times about not interest in your program.

I took admission for July batch but still books not delivered to me and next month we have exam.

How I can prepare myself for same?
Multiple mail sent to counselor and [protected]@jaro.in but no response.
