[Resolved]  Whirlpool India — Defective product and harassment

I ordered a whirlpool refrigerator on 03rd July 2020 at Vijay Sales, Pitam Pura, Delhi, which is delivered to me on 05th July 2020, now yesterday on 9th of July 2020 around 2:00 PM, it suddenly stopped working after various complaints to whirlpool customer care and [protected] (executive Mr. Baiju, who presented demo of the product), visited on 10th july around 12:00 and told us that gas is leaked and it will be refilled. When I talked about the gas leakage in the new product he replied very rudely that it is not his responsibility how it happens and just told us option what you want. There is two options, first you can go for replacement, which took atleast 20 days and may be more and second you can go for gas re-filling but after that we will never replace the refrigerator.
I was totally shocked to hear that it’s a clear case of blackmailing to consumer by whirlpool to suffer in hot summer of delhi. First they sold a defective refrigerator and then forcing the customer to accept defective product.
During all this when I contacted to Vijay Sales, even they raised their hands to do anything and told me that now it’s the matter of company policy and consumer.
After various conversation from vijay sales they have agreed to replace the fridge temporarily till company issues the new one and replaced that on 20th july 2020 with another old fridge (due to non-availability of new one) which is also defective and complaint was raised many times at whirlpool and to vijay sales also and assured me that my refrigerator will be replaced with a new one from whirlpool as soon as possible.
Now yesterday on 24/08/2020, I got a call Mr. Suresh ([protected]) that your replacement has passed and you refrigerator will be delivered tomorrow on 25/08/2020.
But when today delivery executive came and check the refrigerator they told me that they cant’s replace the fridge as serial No. of the fridge is not matching with the sr. No. of DO which is [protected].
When I told them the whole incident and showed the document that Vijay Sales has replaced my new fridge on 20/07/2020 on temporary basis by used fridge just to use till I did not get replacement from whirlpool due to which sr. no. is not matching and I don’t have the refrigerator of that serial no. The serial No. of the current refrigerator is [protected].
Now again I am standing at the same stage which is around 1½ months back that current refrigerator having sr. no. [protected] is also not working properly and there is so much leakage of water from somewhere in that. And again same thing is done by Mr. Baiju when I contact him at [protected] that he told me clearly he is not going to change my refrigerator, you can do whatever you want. Just go to Vijay Sales and contact them.
And company is denying replacing it due to sr. no. mismatch and vijay sales is denying doing anything clearly this time and saying that they can’t change the refrigerator it should be replaced by whirlpool company as DO is issued.
From the above all it’s quite clear that company and Vijay Sales had finding new ways to harass the consumer by this and that way. Even after sanctioning a replacement around after 1½ months company is denying to replace.
I am totally unable to understand why company wants a time of 2 months just for a replacement for me it’s just a unique way to harass the consumer in the hot summer of delhi without a refrigerator.
I have no other option except to request the whirlpool company to replace the defective refrigerator as soon as possible.
