He service team regarding my sofa give worst service for ever.

I book the complaint on 28.12.2016 - complaint number 3767 that time also not give the immediate response. I send image through whatsapp and called me back after one week. That time i am not in station after that no one followed with me regarding my sofa service.

Again in this month same i issue i booked the complaint on 15.07.2017 morning. Complaint...

Beware of woodpecker furnitures who sell poor quality at extraordinary prices!!!

Bought about 3 lacs worth furnitures for our new home in january 2016 from woodpecker furnitures in velachery, chennai. The recliner sofa set 3 + 2 + 1 costed about 1.10 lacs (Product invoice # cwt/sd/1729/15-16 and service/installation invoice number cwt/se/8630/15-16). Just after the one year, we noticed the leather stitches wearing out and within...

Regret to inform you that the above sofa set was purchased by me in your show room. It is only about 18 months old. Suddenly in the 3 seat sofa about one inch stitching got slipped and one side of the handle the upper is wringing. I made complaint, and they informed me the warranty for upholstery is for only one year.

I can understand the same, but in my view it is quality issue, and poor manufacturing, other wise both the stitch slipping and wringing cannot come. Further when they deputed the person i was informed this will come only a minimum amount, but now the estimate has been sent for about 9000 for a sofa of 24000 which is shocking.

Irrespective of whether it is under warranty or not, keeping your company reputation in the filed, you need to understand that a under quality product should be rectified at free of cost to. This will enhance your commitent towards customer care.
Instead your team is send estimate for stuffing all the sofa, huge transportation cost etc. This shows the intention of your out sourced team is to make as much money as possible for poor quality product of you.

Take urgent step to resolve it and fix the damage, hope you will take the step to address my grevence

Greetings from Woodpecker Furniture!!!

This is in reference to your complaint raised on your Sofa Set.

We had supplied the Gantock - PU - 43 - 3+1+1 against the Sales Order Number RY/0614/15-16 on 19-Nov-15.

The sold product was manufactured by us as per our Standard Specifications.

As we have already communicated in our earlier mails and calls, we would like to inform that an amount of Rs. 4700/- would be applicable towards the Service of your Sofa as the damages were occurred due to usage only.

As per the Terms and Conditions, the damage to upholstery and Sagging will be covered under Warranty for only one year if the issue is only due to Manufacturing defect. The same has also been mentioned in our Invoice which was duly signed by you.

Please note that the 1 year Warranty period has already been crossed to your Sofa and also we have not charged the Labour Charges towards the Service of your Sofa. Hence we regret to inform that we are unable to waive the Charges further.

We request you make the Service Charges of Rs. 4700/- at any of our Showroom and confirm us to do the needful.

Post receiving the payment, the sofa will be taken from your place for service within 10 days and from then same will be delivered within 07 working days on completion of service.

Thank you for your patience while we resolve your complaint.

    My cot & shoe rack to be serviced, tried for customer care for the entire day, no one picking the call . Pls send service provider. Up to this tried to post the complaint but it shows ur complaint is less than 350 letters may not be able to resolve . should to continue anyway or edit and add letters . My issue is only with the 2 products rest all r fine . Hops it has crossed 350 characters . Pls do the needful.

      I have ordered for bedroom set, bed and four seater dining table at woodpecker velacherry chennai... The order was supposed to be delivered on september 07, 2016 and till today (October 14, 2016) i haven't received all products. Everything came in bits and pieces and the dining table was replaced thrice and even now it is received in damaged condition. The beds are recieved but i am still following up with the office to give me the pillows and bedspread. The worst customer service i have ever seen and especially mr. Arun, branch manager and mr. Saravanan the area head had not bothered to even take my calls for past one week. I am left with no option thn waiting n waiting n waiting

        The above item have been purchased last month at wood peckers royapettah, but we are facing problem with bed door hydronic system is not closing properly and we kept it open for last two days... The lock system is not functioning for bero.. The issue is exit from the date of purchase and we didn't check it properly at the initial stage as we are just started using it..

        I am also unable to reach showroom and this would bad experience since the products have not been used from the date of purchase...

        Bought an elegant queen size bed set from super value store in bensalem pa
        just the 3rd day bed frame broke very poor quality wood not worth at all for the money.I Iearn my lesson first time bought something not reviewing the consumer reports.Please dont buy anything from them.

          I had purchased brown colour sofa set in march 2014. Almost after a year the cover started tearing off at many places implying a bad quality of it being used.
          I think that is why they give a warranty for their upholstery for just one year.

          We paid rs.63210 for the set which is huge amount and we expected a good quality and life for the set. All along we had purchased many sofa sets for the prices ranging from rs.15, 000 to 20, 000 which had life for atleast 5 years. So we naturally expected more life, atleast 10 years for our new sofa set for the amount we shelled out and also we trusted the name "wood pecker". But we are very much disappointed with the quality as well as poor response from the service people.

          Never buy furniture from woodpecker.

We have supplied the Sofa-D2-001 - Sofa Set (3+1+1) (Brown) against the Sale Order number RY/1084/13-14 on 16-Mar-14. 2. The product was received by you without any complaints and the same was acknowledged by you. 3. We have received your complaint only on 05-May-16 mentioning Upholstery – Peel off issue in your Sofa, which was registered with the number 642. 4. The product was inspected by our Sofa Technician. We regret for the delay in updating the Estimation Charges towards the Sofa Service. 5. Based on the Inspection Report, we are sharing the following estimation charges along with break up details to your convenience.           The door of wardrobe is bent and damaged I gave it for replacement they refixed the same .kindly replace t.my bill no RY/0647/16-17 dated 11/09/2016.They delivered the products 3days back only.I thought woodpecker is a big company it's a cheating.don't do it to poor customer like us
          I am sure the complaint was never resolved. Just that nobody gets a notification when supplier post their response and this board automatically close the complaint as resolved.

            We had purchased one set of clinton sofa set of wood pecker brand through flipkart. within one month, problem of sagging of foam in one of the sofa started due to which it became uncomfortable to sit. we, requested to repair/replace the same. their mechanic visited our house and said there is manufacturing defect and it has to be replaced. but even after 3 months neither the sofa has been repaired nor replaced. do not buy any furniture from these people, specially of wood pecker brand. even my negative review of the product has not been posted by flipcart on their website. even after a long series of email, these people are least bothered.             We are faced very worst customer service from wood pecker for the existing customer. They are focusing on new customers. No proper communication, response and commitment.               This is the worst shopping experience ever. Such irresponsible responses from the store people at royapettah branch.
              First of all, the cot doesn't meet the dimensions of queen size at all. Secondly, one of the legs has cracked within 20 days of delivery. Although the cot was never moved since the installation.

              The store people give irresponsible answers and talk only to close the topic without any solution! If at all there's someone who has business ethics in your firm, you contact at[protected]

                I have purchase cots, centre table and wardrobe from woodpecker, Porur few years ago. In cot, one sheet is broken, screws are loosened and handle is broken in the wardrobe.

                I have complained to the customer care. They sent one person. He repaired 30% and went. He did not come. We have warranty also.

                  I had bought many products from woodpecker but buying a cot from there is not suggested to anyone because of poor quality of wood which they use. Cots are weightless and inside wood getting broken very quickly.

                  I recently bought a king size cot with bed there but the inside wood broken completely and lodged a compliant and the person came had a look at it and went but unfortunately still he hasn't come back to repair it.

                  Poor after sales service and pathetic service.

                  I will not recommend this shop to anyone else going forward. They attract people by showing high discounts but when you go inside they have various clause and conditions. Very bad.

                    I bought a sofa set, queen bed and mattress from woodpecker, royapettah branch on 14th apr.2015 for around rs.50000 worth.Initially they cheated us by sending a sofa set which was displayed in their show room and used by thousands of visitors while they inspected. This was not informed earlier but raised bill as display piece as it. They are selling used and remake furniture just like olx
                    Secondly, within 6 months, the bed got damaged drastically. We made complaint and then it was repaired by their professionals. The cot was not, made up of quality wood. It seems like ply wood. Again, within a year period, it pealed off badly.
                    They are not woodpecker, simply plywood beggars. All are china make. They are cheating customers under the iso certification of bureau veritas & nabcb.
                    Not trust worthy business people. Online cheating business.

                      We bought Berlin TV wall unit on 4th November 2015 from chromepet Woodpecker showroom and they have delivered it on 6th nov 2015. we are residing in the Ambattur and in the second floor. On the delivery itself im not satisfied with the quality of the product. and now, Not even a month, the TV wall unit is badly affected with the fungal . I started to clean it with a dry clothe. after a day, again the complete growth of fungal is there. Because of this myself is badly affected with wheezing problem. I would request you to provide me the complete solution or better take this product back to your company. I look forward to receiving your solution for this.

                        To start with, I had a shock of my life to read & get to know over the disaster reviews posted ! Let me add to the legacy they continue. I approached Wood Pecker stall at the Nandambakkam CTC over the recent Expo which happened. I liked the Walnut finish TV show stand and immediately purchased only after the promise and commitment that the delivery will happen in 3 days from the purchased date. This was made very clear to 3 executives there. With happy smiley faces they agreed. To my surprise, the delivery didn't happen and upon checked the info they had was for next day. SAD ! By this, my itinerary of going outstation was postponed. I think its time for the management of wood pecker to realise the customer satisfaction and the nuances of trade. Very poor customer service !! Now the fear I have is, after reading these reviews, I am in a state of agony to know the quality of the product. I shall further post a blog on the quality. But seriously. SAD GUYS !

                          I bought Sofa set, Dressing table, Dining table, and TV wall unit on 5th July for Rs. 85, 000 at Wood pecker stores in Aminjikarai. We received all the products through ABT parcel. On 18/7/2015 Mr. Sanjeeb came to our house for fixing all the products. We are satisfied with all the products except TV wall unit. The quality of that TV wall unit is very bad. There are many scratches all over the piece. Glass piece was completely broken. There are two wood piece in the both the end of the unit. Both were broken. The TV wall unit is already a used/damaged piece sent to us. And Mr. Sanjeeb had stoped doing his fixing work and he promised this TV wall unit is completely damaged. There are many scratches all over the unit and the both the main stands are broken. He told he will speak to his Office and will send a new replacement piece for this. When I contacted Aminjikarai Store for the same issue. The excecutives are telling the problem is with ABT parcel and they are not responsible for this. Please understand we received sofa, dining, dressing along with this, we are satisfied with all the other products and no damages in these. But this TV wall unit is already a used piece you have sent to us. Scratches are not happened because of ABT parcel, because the parcels are well packed with bubble wrapper. And at the back of the bill you have mentioned if there is a damage while opening the pack the company is responsible Kindly check with Mr. Sanjeeb he has opened the pack .                             I had a sms to my mobile about there discount sale [50%]and finance options(0% int, No Processing fee). ok fine, I went to my nearby VELACHERY branch, i bought one soft cum bed{ there OWN make} and steel almarih (brand TRIVENI), the same day purchase order raised and intilal payment is paid, spot approval done (Bajaji Finance), these transctions are finished on 24/05/2015. They told 7days to 10days delivery, ok fine. The delivered on 06/06/2015, night 10.00pm, {13days}. while delivery the steel almarih is badly damaged, I request them to take away the product, but they refused by saying that we people only deliver, service any other problem the service team will replace, ok, i signed it damaged and went to the showroom and told to change the almahri, the manager of the showroom Mr. Nandakumar told me it will get it done by couple of days, but no response, by phone i tried call them, again i went to the showroom and talked to Nandakumar and finally it come today night @ 9.30pm, these commit ment was not honured, the next day night @10.00pmon 16/06/2015 they delivered.the same thing damaged product is delivered. The sofa bed which i ordered is different in fabaric and cusions which they showed to me, but they are telling that i only told them make such things . THE OTHER THINGS the billing they made is confusing, they have not given a proper bill, i told them to give me a clear bill of my purchase but there is no response till this date, herewith i am attaching my bills etc., kindly make the things well and good as soon as possible, waiting for a good reply.

                            ALREADY I HAD POSTED THE COMPLAINT, THIS IS TO REMINDER AND PHOTS'S OF BILLS.
                            The complaint is done on 27th june 2015, till now the woodpecker company people have not called me to resolve the complaint, from this itself we can see the service of the woodpecker company, what the hell are doing (costmer care) I do no. please make me problem solved as soon possible. THIS IS SECOND TIME REMINDER. I cannot load my bills to the system.
                            To dear customer of Woodpecker,

                            Delivery still not done

                            I had ordered a purple fabric 3 +1 + 1 Sofa set on 11th Oct 2015 (build to order) at Valechery, they told will delivery in 10 days. I have been calling every 2nd day from 12th day, only to get the reply that the sofa will be delivered every second day from the day I call. Its been 20 days now and they still say it will take another 5 days more.

                            I called them few minutes back and they told they have got the fabric just yesterday, so the delivery will be made on Sunday. I reconfirmed with them if they deliver on Sundays, they told they have got lot of orders hence they are open on Sunday. When I asked if the fabric itself is coming today and you know it, were you all along lying to us all these days? Is it a problem with you or with tracking system? Be it what ever, I am harassed for no fault of mine. It is always better to go for a jugad engineered products in India for the value for money rather settling for a costlier options, cause always it is that these MNC's or big chain retailers who always treat customers bad.

                            And its like they don't take the order without full payment. Assuming they are just 2 orders a day from one store and each an average rs 25K, (there is literally nothing useful less than 10K), that totals to 3 Lac (6 stores) per day and it is whooping 75 lacs money in 25 days for undelivered orders. The interest accrual itself is 4 Lacs/annum (mere 5%) operating income.

                            This is called sheer day time robbery.

                            To the dear customers, if are to woodpecker then I grantee you lose you sleep before even you get the cot delivered to you, yet to see the quality; don't know how many days you will get a nice sleep after delivery.

                            The 3 stars is for the large car parking they provided, collections are traditional only; nothing to be called modern.

                              I purchased a sofa set from woodpecker furniture Besant Nagar on 15th Nov. They informed that they will deliver a gold coin with sofa at the time of delivery. However it was not delivered with the sofa.When I visited them several times during the 1st and 2nd week of Dec, Branch incharge informed that they will send it by courier to delhi address as I was leaving Chennai. Now they have sent me a mail that I have to come to them with original bill to collect the coin. Clearly this is a case of cheating and wilful scheming. Navnit Goel

                                The worst experience of my life. It doesn't even deserve a single star. I ordered one king size bed, lounge sofa & a mattress. At the time of delivery they damaged the bed and promised me to replace the damaged part within a week but now its been around 2 months and nothing is done. Also there is VERY BAD SMELL COMING OUT IN ONE OF SOFA CORNER, i have no idea what it is. I called them more than thousand times (really i mean it) initially he gave some fake reasons & asked for more time and finally he stops picking my calls. I sent him so many messages but no reply.
                                I request you PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SHOP.

                                Furniture complaint — Bad product and worst service

                                Hi

                                I had purchased a furniture set on 2/10/08 from Vashi (navi mumbai) Big Bazaar. Firstly the furniture was delivered after 40 days (comitement was 15 days) that too after following up for number of times. Now the bed has broken down and is not in usable condition. Even after complaining for several times , nothing has been done. Whenever I complain , a false promise is made by store manager that the complain will be attend shortly but nothing has been done since last 1 month. Have never encountered expected such a fraud by a reputed company like future group.

                                  As a customer, really surprised about the complaints about Woodpecker Furniture. My experience was so excellent.. The sales people were courteous, very co-operative and practical with their advises, infact my wife delt very pleasant to shop there. Also when i see these complaints ...i feel thhe good thing have to be highlighted too! I can't but help but say that a fellow member 'subu090102' has some unplesant experience , woodpecker has come forward to sort this issue...i thinc that shows there seriousness to serve consumers better...some time we need to understand this too! and how many people in retail would come forward to address these problems, iam really not sure

                                    The most pathetic place for shop for furniture is Woodpecker. I have been unfortunate to buy a sofa, dining table and shoe rack as a part of their annual sale. They usually sell cheap chinese imports that look good in their shop but the moment you bring them home, you realize the quality is pathetic. The sofa which they claimed as leather and I brought for Rs.60K gave way within a year. The service person asked me for Rs.40K to get the sofa repaired. Can you beat this? The shoe rack will give way any moment and the dining table is again of the poorest quality. Chinese make again and the legs cannot take the weight of the glass top and I suspect it will fall any moment. I learnt my lesson the hard way and recommend others to buy furniture from a reputed furniture store even if it costs a bit more. Avoid Woodpecker at all costs!

                                    We have addressed this issue openly at the Mouthshut.com. We repeat if you could give us the invoce details to sort this issue, we would be obliged. Despite asking you several times in public forum platforms like mouthshut.com et cetera, we have still recieved no reply from your end.

                                    Which only affirms that your complaints are fictitous and has no base.
                                    IN SUCH A CASE THAT YOU DO NOT REPLY TO US WE TAKE THAT THE ISSUE IS RESOLVED OR THE COMPLAINT IS FICTITIOUS!
