Xiaomi India — false advertising & wrong practices | |||||
This is purely based on consumer experience. Today (04th november 2017) i thought to buy a air purifier. On checking google, i found one ad from mi.com which says "rs 1000 off" and get the air purifier at inr 8, 999 (Refer to the photos that i have attached). On checking their website it showed that there is no offer. To my surprise, i reached to customer support team and they first denied it and asked for screenshots, links and on giving them all the proofs they said probably this is an ad error. Ad error? Well if this would have happened in a market like usa then they would have been sued. But we are indians. Right? On top of this he said it would take few days to rectify the ad and when i asked them what about the issue that i have faced then they just shared me a link to explore their current offers and said you should check this before reaching out to us. Im so amazed that this is how customer support is handled in india. Sharing the above, so that we indians can boycott these chinese who are neither friendly on borders nor in their customer support.
