Xiaomi India — MI 40 INCH Television Warranty related issues

Hi Team,

I purchased a television Mi TV 4A ( 40INCH )on 15-Jul-2022 and I raised a complaint on Power on issues in Sep 2022(TV Serial Number: 33741/C[protected]). Then, as the service center team is unable to rectify the issue they provided a Swap/replacement with old refurbished television which is out of warranty(TV Serial Number: 33741/C[protected]) in Oct 2022. Now again the replacement television also started throwing problems and when I raised the complaint with this serial number, the service center team says it is out of warranty(2021), and they are saying we will charge for service/parts as it is out of warranty. They have done the mistake of replacing the old television with mine as a new one and now they say the charges will be applicable for services. Please find the necessary original copy of the bill from when I purchased this television. As per my purchase date, the warranty should be applicable for 1 year and free service needs to be provided.

I also tried reaching the customer support team. Please find the below reply from them.

I understand that the replacement of the Mi TV was earlier done with an out-of-warranty television and you have raised a repair request for the same. Moreover, you want us to change the date of purchase for the replaced TV as you want to claim the warranty. Hence, you are concerned about the same.

I apologize for the inconvenience caused. Please do not worry, I will assist you in this regard.

As we already informed you that as per the Service Order ID: TVIN[protected], your device falls under the out-of-warranty (OOW) category, due to which you need to pay the relevant charges to fix the issue. We have the best technicians working with us. They will never misguide you as they are trained professionals.

Also, service charges and relevant GST on spares are extra as applicable, and in case of return without repair for OOW cases.

Hence, I would request you to please raise a repair request so that the service technician may visit and guide you accordingly. Also, I would like to inform you that our service center experts are authorized, professionals, and well-trained experts, and they will not misguide you.

I have attached all the pics of the purchased tv box, bills, and the tv serial number of the replacement tv. Please let me know if any further information is required.
