I reached the Xiaomi Mi Customer Service Center via a call to request a repair for my TV. After that, I received the necessary information about how to submit a request through their portal. I booked an appointment for a technician to visit my home. Before the technician's visit, I received a call from the Xiaomi Mi Customer Service Center, where they inquired about the issue my Mi TV was facing. I explained that I was experiencing a yellow screen with a single line on my TV screen.
At this point, they asked me to demonstrate the issue through a video call. They shared a link, and I showed them the problem. After seeing the issue on the video call, they informed me that a technician would visit my place to inspect it.
The technician arrived on 12/10/2023 and, upon directly viewing my TV screen, he said, 'Sir, we need to replace your panel.' He made this assessment without even touching my TV. Surprisingly, the technician charged me 250 Rs just for his visual inspection, even though I had already shown the issue to them during the video call.
My concern is why they sent the technician if they could clearly assess the TV screen's condition during the video call and make a determination based on that. Was this information helpful? |
