I placed an order on zivame on 21/08/2019 and within a few minutes received a whatsapp message from an unknown number. Apparently, my address and phone number had been saved to her account. She basically had access to view my full name, residential address and person mobile number. I was lucky that she is a law-abiding citizen and did not misuse my data, and rather informed me of the privacy breach.
It is absolutely unacceptable for zivame to reveal my personal data to another customer without my consent.
Even after contacting them, i have received no apology and no phone call.
I do not know how this issue should be resolved, since the damage done is irreversible. However i would like a confirmation that my details have not been given to other customers. I would also like a written apology letter from zivame confirming the privacy breach. I also would like zivame to take responsibility and be held fully accountable in case any incident from the misuse of personal data occurs. Was this information helpful? |
