Valet golu did not deliver the cake on 25th december. Complaint was registered with shop cremes and cherries at pradhan nagar, siliguri. The valet name golu was called [protected], he said i will eat your cake, complaint to zomato. The shop cremes and cherries was called [protected], they said your order is cancelled and the valet golu did not deliver the cake back to shop. Received message from zomato that your valet could not deliver the cake, he is standing outside and your money cannot be refunded, as the shop has already prepared the dish. I need my 434 rs back.
Zomato customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

I understand that you have been charged a cancellation fee of INR 433.75. These charges are levied because you were unresponsive at the time of delivery. As per our policy if the order is prepared/out for delivery and customer is unresponsive, a cancellation fee is charged as it leads to food wastage.
Our delivery executive as well as our support team tried reaching out to you multiple times on your number [protected] but you were unresponsive to the calls. Hence, the order was cancelled and we won’t be able to initiate a refund for this instance.

Updated by SamareshPal20 They have notified me that as per their company policy, they will not refund me the 434₹. I paid beforehand the 434₹ through my credit card, i did not receive the cake, my pregnantwife was waiting for the cake.she called up the valet, he said i will eat up your cake.the shop was notified, the shop informed that to complaint to Zomato and that they did not receive the cake back to shop. Raised greiveiance through customer support. How can they refuse to refund the amount. I did not get the cake, the valet never came up to the address. My full 434₹ has been taken by zomato, .Is there any law and order left in this country. Zomato should be sued for cheating and fraud and the valet was very rude over the phone.

Updated by SamareshPal20 As per Zomato they are saying that i was unresponsive on phone on 25th December during delivery. Please see the attached screen shot of my call history, i spoke to the valet for 1 minute, asking him to deliver on the delivery address, i even again tried calling him back twice after some time but he never picked up the phone.zomato is telling lies and cheating.what evidence do they have that the valet did reach the said address and the customer rejected the cake.the seller shop did not get back the cake and the customer did not get the cake.under which law it is allowed by zomato to keep the goods with them or to destroy it.where has the product gone?
