Zomato — cancellation charge equal to order amount

As per the mail revert you have written that "With regards to your concern, please be informed that Zomato doesn't support cancellation of the orders post confirmation by the restaurant". I cannot accept your logic at all of Zomato Not supporting the cancellation of the orders. As much as restaurant is your customer, the consumer also is who is using your application. If your cancellation charges were minimal, it would still be justifiable. But a cancellation charge equivalent to the order value is insane. And the time lag in my case as I have told you is not more than 2 min.

Ideally the order would not have even reached the kitchen. Must say, its disappointing to here as reply like this.

Same case happened with me today! Generally they take half an hour to deliver food but today they claimed that the restaurant had already dispatched the food in 2 mins time.The app was showing the status of order as 'preparing' when I cancelled it.
Hi Team, We placed order no [protected]. And after that we wished to cancel it and asked your zomato person to cancel it. And asked how much money will be deducted. That person did not tell anything about and deducted whole amount of order as cancellation charges.Neitger when we requested if this much amount is deducted better we will order but no option for this too.Now, i do not have the order neither my money which is all deducted as your cancellation charge.I want propee refund of my order.
I wanted to modify the order and hence cancelled the order.And i ordered right away.They are charging me for that.And this policy is not mentioned any where atleat before cancellation they should have told me. They said it would be turned and all ### and after 4days they now saying ot wont be.I need the refund or else stop this app.

My order ID is [protected] and my order is canceled by your delivery boy. I had talked with delivery boy withing delivery time and he said that your order canceled because you didn't respond the call but he never reached the prescribed delivery address. I'm highly frustration with your service level. I never expect this service from you and I had talked chat support they are saying that we can't do anything for you, email us on [protected]@zomato.com and ask for the refund. Please refund my money back. Very bad Zomato service.

Please avoid ordering on Zomato. They have very bad customer support and always ignore the customer. Their customer executive is very rude and never try to fix the issue.

I'm still waiting for their response but they ignoring my problem.

I have by mistakenly ordered in a wrong address and I immediately contacted the zomato and they just said that your order has been prepared and gone for delivery! Like seriously it wasn't even two mins that they said that. And I said them im not in the address where I have placed so I can't even take the order and now they are charging me money for the order I have not even taken as a cancellation charge. How much is this fair? Please do avoid orders in zomato.
I had orderd chicken chilly dry and was delivered chicken chilly gravy so I refused to accept the order as that was not what I ordered. Now everytime i try place order it shows me cancellation charge for that previous order which is ridiculous. It's not my mistake u sent me wrong order. I should fine you in fact for making me starve that day.
I wrote several times to ur good for nothing team explaining them the situation but each time they send me a copy paste reply about ur policy

I experienced the same thing. I ordered a regular sized pizza by mistake instead of medium sized can cancelled the order as soon as I placed it. Still whole amount was deducted and I got to know that 2 days later after frequently asking the agents about refund. Never pay before the order comes into your hands.
