Hi team, i placed an order by mistake on 6 july 2019 at 11.43 am, order i'd is [protected] and i immediately cancelled the order at 11.46 am realising my mistake.
I contacted chat support and there they suggested to mail at [protected]@zomato.com stating my reason.
They have the authority to reverse the penalty as informed by chat support.
I did mailed at [protected]@zomato.com on 6.7.19 and after 50 hrs, i received a reply from tanu sharma (Agent of zomato) that they are unable to reverse the charges due to order wastage by the restaurant.
The order contained 3 no's. Of dosa combo and having said that it is impossible to prepare the whole order within 3 mins of placing an order.
It is absurt.
Zomato is claiming full order value which is highly unjustified.
I have not consumed any single portion of the order, so question of full order value i's totally wrong policy from zomato.
Point to note that when restaurant cancels any order which i placed in past occasion, customer is not compensated for the time value of money lost.
Zomato should be transparent to their merchants and customers equally.
