I had a harrowing experience with zomato recently. I ordered food from 5 spice restaurant in kandivali east through the zomato app. Unfortunately, i paid the money through credit card assuming everything to be alright. After placing the order, i was notified that the food would arrive in an hour's time. However, after an hour when i checked with zomato, they mentioned that the order would take half n hour more to deliver. Therefore, i asked them to cancel the order; my guests and kids were too hungry to wait for any more time now. So we decided to cook some instant food available. Of nowhere, the delivery boy knocked my door and handed over the food. I had no choice but to accept the order; didn't wish to make a fuss in front of my guests. I raised a complaint with zomato for a refund and unbelievably they denied it. I am taking this issue to consumer court and would raise awareness on social media as well.
