Zomato — charged twice for the order that was never processed and never arrived | |||||
I tried to order food from yes yes hotel via zomato app and made a payment of rs. 141 using simple pay. Payment went through but order was never processed. So i tried to order again and made a payment of rs. 141 again via simple pay. This time order was placed and i was tracking the order. Suddenly i received a notification that it has been cancelled. So i called up the restaurant and he said zomato cancelled the order. Deliver guy never came to deliver the food and he never tried to contact me. I have contacted zomato customer care multiple times but everytime i got the same response that it cannot be refunded. Now, i've been charged rs. 141 twice to my simple pay account which is rs. 282. I told zomato to check delivery executive's call logs or query him if he even tried to deliver the order. Now, how will i cancel the order when he never came to deliver and did not even call me. Customer care should check from the app that i did not cancel the order. I need a refund cause i'd rather give it to someone who is need than paying zomato for something which i have not done.
