Zomato — deduct whole bill amount as penalty

For last few months I am using Zomato and give reviews to the restaurants. Today I ordered lunch from Dilli Darbar. Initially it was showing in app that the outlet is in Dilshad Garden which is my area. However after I made the online payment and check the map. It showing that its in Durgapuri, Shahdara, which is quite far from my place and will take minimum an hour for delivery. So I cancelled the delivery as I need it fast. However Zomato has deduct the whole amount as penalty for cancellation. I mean even top hotels won't do this. What kind of policy is this? Immediately I start chatting with them as they don't have customer care number. They want me to email the issue to [protected]@Zomato.com, which I did. However I told them that its a lunch time and I need to order something. They won't help. So I ordered from any other restaurant which is close to my place as COD. But the food was stinks and I have to dump the whole food. Now again I contact them for the issue. They took my money online and offline however didn't provide me food for the lunch. Kindly look into this matter and refund the money ASAP.

Today on 18th, May at 1’oclock i ordered food items of 202 Rs. and then i wanted some alteration and i no time i cancelled it so that i can make some changes but after cancelling my money was deducted from my account as so called penalty they say. It’s a fraud and ### policy. I want my hard earned money back.

I cancelled with in seconds but they changed me 490 rupees without i couldn't eat, how can i pay money for that

ZOMATO IS VERY BIG FRAUD, DON'T USE IT. I ordered food and paid the Amount online. They have cancelled the order saying they couldn't reach me on my mobile. I didn't receive any call or sms from them. It was around 1100 rupees I lost and they are calling it as penality. 100% deduction and how can name it as penality, don't they know the meaning if it. I mailed them, chat, spoke to the delivery boy and contacted to the restaurant(AKSON, HYDERABAD) as well. He did return that food and he ate that. It's very pathetic. SO PLEASE NO BODY DONT PAY THE AMOUNT UNTIL ITS REACHING YOU, EVEN NO SURE WHETHER YOU WILL RECEIVE THE ONE WHAT AFTER THAT DELIVERY BOY ATE.

I am Sahaya Teresa, I had ordered food from Vairamaligai through your app, the order was cancelled as
the delivery boy was unable to locate the address and he was not able to reach me on my phone.
Susequently i had called within 5 minutes of his last call but he refused to deliver stating the order
had been candelled and nothing can be done . I tried calling your call center at [protected];
[protected]; [protected] but nobody responded. I also tried calling the delivery boy for how to get this
rectififed but he said he is helpless. Could you please refund as i had already paid in full and my food
on top of it had not been delivered . This is very disappointing as all previous orders to this address
had been delivered without any hazzles. This looks to be a deliberate attempt by the person not to
deliver inspite of calling him back.

Hope you refund at the earliest.
