Our experience with order id [protected] has been terrible. I am a Zomato Pro customer.
To celebrate birthday of my Mom and we had guests come over. We placed an order thru Zomato on 5 Spice (Chinese Restaurant – Vile Parle – just 2.7 KM away and time to travel is less than 15 minutes). The order was placed at 8:20 pm and 51 minutes were given as delivery time. We started tracking delivery 8:30 onwards and the delivery agent was shown 5 minutes away from the Restaurant. At 8:45 pm, the status never changed. So we called the delivery agent, and he informed he will delivery with a bit of delay due to unforseen rains. At 9:00 pm, the time of delivery, got a call from Zomato, saying the delivery would be 30 minutes late, requesting us to wait. At 9:30 pm, our guests left thoroughly disappointed and we felt terribly helpless and ashamed .
Finally we contacted Zomato customer service via chat at 9:55 pm . The Customer Service person informed us that the order will not reach us at all asking us if we wanted to cancel the order. Did we have any choice??? As a matter of token, a coupon of Rs. 400/- was shared over SMS to us.
Now at 10:00 pm in the night, how do we celebrate Birthday dinner? It was the most disgraceful event, all because of Zomato and look at the apology of Rs. 400/- . We are not looking for tokens but what about annual birthday celebrations lost ?? Our guests walking away and we left with no option but to remain hungry and survive on sandwiches.
I seriously warn people that i[censored] see delivery getting delayed by Zomato, just cancel it and switch to someone like Swiggy or other aggregators if you don’t want to be treated like we were. Alternatively just skip Zomato. Was this information helpful? |
