After 48 hrs of no reply for the email sent to zomato, writing on consumer complaints.
Complaint raised to zomato is as follows:
On 9th September, I order food at 9.53 pm.
Order number [protected].
The food was for my family as we did not make any food for dinner.
By 11 pm the food was still showing prepared, on the app. I tried call the delivery agent. He did not receive my call. Then I have to contact customer care . The customer associate miss simran called back stating that the delivery agent has damaged his phone and he is not able to view the map. But she had explained him the address, I will get the food delivered soon. I waited till 11 . 45 pm but noone came. I was out of my patience and called the customer care associate.
Miss simran called me up at 12.00 stating they won't be able to deliver food. I asked her where is the food she said it is still in the restaurant and not yet collected. When I asked the reason for that she said delivery agent is not picking up the phone and he stays in andheri, he has long way to go back. I very much annoyed to her answer. The reasons she was giving were totally unacceptable.
When I asked what is the solution she said they have to cancel the order.
I was very upset because I have my 4 year old Son, my wife, and my old age mother waiting for food. And customer care is saying no food can be delivered. I cannot let my family sleep empty stomach at night.
So I requested Miss Simran, can I collect the order by my self, she said it is not in the procedure but I insisted her.
On which she agreed. At 12.15 am I ve to go by myself to the restaurant to collect the order. I collected the food but unfortunately due to ganesh visarjan stuck in traffic and was able to return home at 1.00 am. My building lift shuts at 11.00 pm everyday.
So I have to climb all six floors.
But when I reached home, I was depressed to see all my family members went to sleep empty stomach. Even my son. I open the food packet but food was so soggy and cold that I was not able to give them.. even I was not able to eat when my family members are sleeping empty stomach.
This was the situation that night.
It was an horrible experience for me and my family. Please imagine yourself in my shoes, how you would have felt.?
When spoken to customer care about they gave me 75 rupees discount on my next order as compensation. The food ordered was of 1200 rupees including 20 rupees tip.
I writing this because I was very much upset by zomato and relying on zomato for food was a big mistake..
I demand full refund for my order.
