I ordered from zomato from big yellow door, satyaniketan, new delhi.
As you can see, i ordered @ 12.49 pm and cancelled the order @12.51 pm because i forgot to add items in my order. Their automated chat support doesn't leave much of an option for us to say, so i contacted the restaurant about the same. They told me to cancel the order as i'd get a full refund from zomato and i can order once again with the new items and promocode applied. So, even though their automatic chat asked me if i was sure to cancel it, i replied yes to it considering the food had not been prepared as the restaurant told me.
But surprisingly, zomato charged me full amount for cancellation. So, i didnt even got my food delivered and also got 254 bucks cut out of my account.
Is this a trick zomato uses to earn money?
Is this their customer service?
I'm highly disappointed in zomato. I'm a regular customer of zomato gold, but not anymore.
Here's an attachment of the proof that i ordered and cancelled within 2 minutes, and also confirmed from the restaurant if the food had been delivered.
I want a full refund for a service i didn't even get and food that wasn't even prepared.
Also, not recommending it to any of my friends and not even thinking to order food again. They guys should have better policies for the users. The automated chat system doesn't leave much in the hands of the consumers. I also confirmed it from the restaurant because i didn't want food to be wasted and no extra burden on them.. But looks like they guys get to decide from far away if the food had been prepared.
