Zomato — Missing Items from Prepaid Order and No Refund provided

On 7.7.2026 I ordered food from Subway through the Zomato app. But on receiving the parcel i found 2 cookies missing. i called the numbers of the customer care and the restaurant on the zomato app but no one picked up either. I chatted with the support chatbot and it directed me to an email address.

I mailed them with my invoice, which included order number, and pictures of the received parcel, but was told they were 'unable to proceed with the refund'.

This feels like a scam, and this is not an infrequent occurrence. They attempt to bury these instances in bureaucracy but they need to be held accountable.
