Zomato — not getting a refund after assurances | |||
I had ordered 3 food items from zomato on 08.05.2019 and made an online payment for the same. I realized that the address was incorrect and just 4 mins after placing the order, i raised the issue on zomato chat. They said that i shall be penalized with a full amount. Their agent called me and in that telephonic conversation, she assured me that i may cancel, i shall get my refund. Accordingly, upon my request, the cancellation was done from their end. However, the same was denied in zomato chat, they even refuses that any such number belongs to them. I have automatic call recording system in my device and i informed them about the same. They said if i had such recording, i will get a refund. I reduced the whole story into writing, attaching that recording. The next day, they replied saying refund cannot be provided as my order was already dispatched. Was this information helpful? | |||
