Zomato — Providing false information and misleading customer

I am writing this email to express my extreme disappointment with the poor service provided by your company. I ordered Raj Kachori online from Zomato on May 4, 2023, at 1:57 PM, from a restaurant that promised delivery within 35 to 40 minutes. However, even after waiting for more than 1 hour, the food was not delivered. This incident has left me extremely angry and frustrated, and I feel that I have been treated unfairly by your company.

When I checked the status of my order at 2:30 PM, it still showed "Preparing, " and I contacted one of your executives named Uzma. She provided false information, stating that my order had been picked up and would be delivered shortly. However, when I contacted the delivery person, he informed me that the order had not been picked up yet. This made me lose faith in your company and the information provided by your executives.

After more than 1 hour of waiting, I contacted Zomato support again, and a new executive gave me an assurance that the food would be delivered soon. However, since I had to leave for work at 3:00 PM, and my hunger was increasing, I requested him to cancel the order. He complied with my request and canceled the order. However, when I asked him about the time and hunger that I wasted waiting for the food, he had no answer and was very rude.

Moreover, when I asked for an explanation about the poor service and misleading information provided by Zomato, the executive named Shailendra disconnected the call and ended the chat conversation with me. This behavior is unacceptable and shows how poorly trained your executives are in dealing with customers.

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by your company, and I will never order food from Zomato again. I am also considering filing a complaint with the Consumer Forum about the mental torture that your company has put me through.

I hope you take this complaint seriously and take the necessary actions to improve your service quality and the behavior of your support executives.
