Zomato. Failed a million times and yet stays a favorite for many!!
I haven’t received my refund for 450 bucks for an order placed on 26th october. I was being casual all this long and just checked in between and forgot all about it.
Beginning of month when i checked my statement, i realised the refund still isn’t there. I asked zomato who told me i need to check with bank. I never bothered thinking it would reflect.
Today i call the bank for some work and a delivery from a restaurant with a zomato tape made me ask the bank about the refund. They had no information. They asked for a mail to be sent at the disputes id with a screenshot from zomato mentioning the initiation of the refund.
Now comes the horror. I ask zomato to mail me regarding the refund and i am told, they can’t. Instead, i need to mail them my bank statement from 1st october onwards so that they’re sure that i haven’t been refunded in real and they hey could manually do it. I asked for an email address to escalate the hilarious demand of theirs and instead i am repeatedly given the email id to mail the statement at.
Really? Is this even real? Pinch me please!!!
