I placed an order for ovenstory pizza by faasos on 2.08.2018 around 7.45 or 8.00pm. The offer was bogo - order id [protected]. While placing the order there was no option for choosing the 2nd pizza. So i assumed since it has bogo highlighted therefore two pizzas will be delivered. This was my first order with ovenstory.
I received the order but instead of two pizzas i received only one.
Issue - 1 - the order i placed was buy one get one pizza. The app didn't show an option to choose 2nd pizza besides a quickly disappearing pop up alert. The app is deceiving enough to make customer pay and deprive them of the offer. I could have placed the order with faaso's and availed the offer instead of going through zomato.
Issue-2- the chat support lady claimed her name was neelam and was the highest authority present in the night shift. She connected my call with the store incharge who in an extremely rude tone stated if i didnt select the second pizza he cant deliver the second pizza. Neelam was present on the call when this incharge spoke in an unruly fashion. My concern was even the store guys are aware that the pizza order is from zomato and they have a bogo offer on the particular pizza. So for argument sake even if i didnt place the order for the free pizza isnt it the store incharges responsibility to inform the customer and ensure they avail the offer instead of speaking in an unruly fashion.
Issue-3- neelam followed the tone and insisted that i cannot get refund or compensated as i had not selected the second pizza. She was equally rude in her conversation. She was smart enough to wrap the call and connect on chat. Throughout the chat she denied the presence of a manager, claimed she was the top person in-charge for the night and without any empathy repeatedly stated that i will not be compensated for a very genuine miss.in all this zomato's app is to be blamed but neelam was very smart to push the blame on the restaurant when she realised i wasn't letting it go.
