Sub : Repair/Replacement of Refrigerator
Electrolux Make Model No.285 ERP Double Door

Dear Sir,

This is to draw your kind attention that I had purchased a Refrigerator of Electrolux make (Model No.285 ERP) on 8th April’06 from Great Eastern Appliances Pvt Ltd, 102, D.H. Road, Behala, Kolkata-700 034 and since then this machine has been giving trouble like, improper cooling, insulation problem, fan problem etc. and the servicing has been done by M/s. Millennium Service Centre (Authorized Service Centre of Electrolux Kelvinator), 17, Roy Bahadur Road, Kolkata-700 034.

Recently, the machine has been given to M/s. Millennium on 5th March’08 since the machine was not exhibiting proper cooling. Specially, the lower half was not at all functioning properly and as a result water was coming out from machine all the times. Since then, I have contacted so many times to your officials like Mr. Amlan Ghosh[protected], Mr. Mallick[protected] & Mr. Niraj[protected] and nobody has given satisfactory reply.

They have confessed that they cannot rectify the cooling arrangement from inside rather they proposed to install a condenser outside which is totally non-conventional and the said proposal was rejected by undersigned.

Meanwhile, I have been offered a proposal for replacement of ‘New Freeze’ by paying some extra money after deducting the depreciation amount (two years) from the purchase price of Rs.15, 000/- (April’06). I am not ready to pay the balance amount even as the machine is a defective one from the day. So, kindly intervene and give your valuable advice immediately to your Kolkata office. Moreover, I am in terrible situation as my daughter is appearing to ICSE Exam and I am passing on the Summer days without refrigerator.

At least mechanic came to you. In Chennai you will never get respond from Golden Electronics who is the only authorized service agent in Chennai. Better Not to buy Electolux Products in future.

Electrolux Semi Automatic MAChine — machine not working since one month

Sir,
I, Jyotsna Srivastava, want to inform you that my washing machine is not working since 12th July 2010. My drain selector is not working.I complained to the customer care several times. Service engineer came to home and took the drain selector out from the machine and told that the part is not available in the company.So, it might take 1 week to find out the part.
But now 1 month is over he did'nt came back. In between, my washtub also stopped working. Regarding this, I complained to authorised dealer 'ALLIED ELECTRONICS H140A, DILSHAD GARDEN, DELHI,' on 6th August. Again one service engineer came from the company with some part which was not useful. Again he told the same. Now, neither dealer is listning nor customer care. Every day they say that an engineer will come but nobody comes. My machine is under warrenty and AMC. AMC no. is 034107. They wasted 1 month of AMC period of my machine.
I'll be very greatful to you for taking action against company.

Dear Sirs,
This has the reference to the captioned purchase invoice details through which the undersigned had purchased a Kelvinetor Refrigerator 180 Liters, model: Master Cool (KGP183) for Rs. 7100.00 on 14/08/2009.

Before the undersigned finally decided to purchase the said Kelvinetor Refrigerator, Mr. Mehta and other personnel of M/s Bharat Electronics gave assurance of very good, reliable and durable product quality, and also assured the undersigned several times that, in case of any problem whatsoever in the said refrigerator, they and the company will provide prompt and satisfactory after sales service to the undersigned.

Mr. Mehta and the others of M/s Bharat Electronics also tried to convince the undersigned regarding the product quality by saying that, the Kelvinetor Refrigerators are manufactured by Videocon Industries Limited, which has a establish market, and that, Kelvinetor Refrigerators are now part of M/S Whirlpool India Ltd. Therefore, one can trust the product quality, and also that the after sales service would not at be a problem at all. Besides the above said companies, we (M/S Bharat Electronics) will also be a phone call away and will provide all the possible service / assistance to the undersigned as and when required, so as to uphold the customer satisfaction, and make the undersigned one of their permanent customers.

The undersigned took the above mentioned assurances as a gospel truth, and decided to purchase the above mentioned Kelvinetor Refrigerator, and accordingly it was purchased.

Immediately thereafter, the said Refrigerator started giving problems (some or the other faults and malfunctioning, as against the assurance given by Mr. Mehta & others of M/s Bharat Electronics regarding the product quality etc.) The undersigned started complaining to M/s Bharat Electronics which was initially heard, and service man visited the house of the undersigned couple of times and did some work to make the said Refrigerator functional, and every time the mechanic promised to come back and completely repair the fault, but it never happened, and each time some or the other reasons were cited for not visiting the site.

As the said Refrigerator was giving continuous problem, and every month or so the undersigned had to ask for service from M/s Bharat Electrical, therefore, they asked the undersigned to directly lodge the complaint with the company and gave some or the other excuses to evade providing assured after sales services at their end. Some of the complaints numbers has been mentioned by the undersigned at the top, which could be remembered.

Now the said Refrigerator is completely out of order / service, which has repeatedly been communicated to all the concern, but they have stopped responding to complaints of the undersigned, and in the meanwhile, the warranty period is also reducing day by day. It would not be out of place to mention that, during the past one year of purchase, the effective use of the said Refrigerator was merely a few month, and rest of the time the same was malfunctioning; and waiting for the assured after sales service.


The above mentioned actions and inactions on the part of all the concerned had cemented a feeling within the undersigned that, deliberately, a defective piece (said Refrigerator) was sold to the undersigned by giving wrong and false assurances.

The undersigned humbly request all the concern to replace the said defective piece (said Refrigerator) with a new piece within 04 working days. Failing which, the undersigned would be compelled to take suitable legal action against all the concerned mentioned above.

With the hope that at least this time the customer cry would be taken care off.

We are also facing serious problem with Kelvinator refigirator and the service support is not availale. They keep on palying between whirlpool and Eloctrolux but both the companies are not giving proper support.

Electrolux — No cooling in the lower part

Model No, 235 ltr.Premium Double door.Regn No.[protected], Sl NO.33211590 and date of purchase 14/04/2004.Since last 03 months the lower portion of the refregerator has no cooling effect. compllaint has been lodged with local dealer but no positve response is received so far. They come twice and told that the Byi-metal & Timer are not working. Accordingly, they replaced the both but no result.Afterwords, they are not coming .Complaint has also been made with Electrolux office at Bhubaneswar but they do not care to solve my problem. Electrolux / 480 Ltr Fridge — no cooling in the lower part of the double door fridge it has been 3 yrs now that i have been complaining regularly

Electrolux Air Conditioners — Incompetent customer service even after paying for 2 year preventative maintenance

I purchased 3 Electrolux A/cs three years ago. After the mandatory1 year warranty was up, I paid Rs 12000 for a 2 year coverage for preventative maintenence care - called Happy Care plan. To date I have not had a single all or visit - they were supposed to come every 6 months. The engineer's contact number in the form was found not reachable.
finallyI called Electrolux at [protected] on March 23rd and registered a complaint under COCPCOC[protected]. After 6 more follow up calls (March 23, 24, 29, 30, April 2, and finally April 4) I am yet to have a service rep come and take care of our A/c. In the meantime they had the nerve to close my complaint since an engineer 'visited my house and did not find an Electroluc machine'!
I would like to register a complaint against Electrolux - their customer service does not care, and their authorized service center has not done a single thing to take care of my complaint.
I would like to at least get my money back,

Electrolux Fridge (Model Erl285) — Service dealer not attending

Self having a fridge of 285 liter double door. The same was purchased from Udaipur on 26.01.2007.Presently the fridge is not making ice and cooling is in sufficient.
Contacted with Arihant Brother, Ajmer ( Mr.Gautam) on his mobile ( [protected]) on 01/03/11 and communicated many times till date. Every time he was telling that compressor is not available with him.
Self communicated to him that self is ready to bear parts cost, service charge and travel expn of engineer but till date no body visited to rectify the problem.
