[Resolved]  Indian Railways — HARRASSMENT BY RAILWAY BOOKING STAFF

Dear sir,
I was issued Rly. warrant from mumbai to Delhi and back, to attend some urgent official meetings, at mumbai it was exchanged but when I went to the ticketing counter at Sarai Rohilla it was not honoured saying that since name of station written in railway warrant was Delhi to Mumbai and it was told by booking clerk that there is no rly station by the name of Mumbai hence it can not be honoured. but it is obvious that all the station (Bandra, Dadar, Mumbai central, borivali etc) comes in mumbai only. Even I met Supervisor Mr. Surender singh who also refuse to honour it saying that if we will honour it there will be audit objection . Eventhough everything was okey but they refused to honoured even the destination was clearely written. if there are multiple stations in a particular city then any of the station will serve the purpose. Due to the refusal by the railways it cause a lot of invonvienence to me. This was due to foolishness of that particular railway staff. I have faced this kind of problem in delhi only, hence i hope necessary instructions will be issued through ur good office in this regard . Thaks with regards MC LAKHERA

Indian Railways — query about Indian Railway rule

Dear sir,
Consider, a person has booked a ticket in Sleeper/AC-3/AC-3 class by 4056, Brahamaputra mail from Kahalgaon(CLG) to New Jalpaiguri(NJP)with boarding at Malda Town(MLDT) printed on the ticket. The person boards the said train at Kahalgaon but does not get any reservation from Kahalgaon to Malda Town since there was no vacant bearth. Under such circumstances, can the person travel in the said compartment with the same ticket upto Malda Town by standing or adjusting without paying penalty? or the TTE can allow to travel in the said compartment upto Malda Town by taking penalty or the TTE can force the person to shift to general compartment?. This reply I urgently require since I was having a similar ticket(PNR-[protected]) in AC-2 class by 4056, Brahamaputra mail on 31/10/2009 from Kahalgaon(CLG) to New Jalpaiguri(NJP) with boarding at Malda Town dtd.-01/11/2009 and faced a situation where I was asked for paying penalty/shift to general compartment.

we are travelling daily from surat (ST) to (vapi) in kutch express ( 9132 ). every 4th day the chair car coach has been attached from your side which makes us difficult journey. we request you to change the coach to general and make us happy. we are total 50 passengers which are travelling at daily basis.

Indian Railways — Transaction failed

Hi,
I booked my ticket on 1st Dec 2009 from Bangalore to shimoga, Journey date is 11-Dec-2009. My ICICI bank details shows the debit of Rs 777. My transaction id was [protected]. But the ticket status is 'settlement requested' from the bank. How can i get this amount back? Now i have booked another ticket for the same date.

I got E- reservation in mahakaushal frm agra to delhi.When i showed my ticket with id proof of my college. he asked for pan card, driving license. when i said i dont have he asked me for fine. student less than 18 doesn't have these documents.kindly see to it that next time there is no mental harrasment to student when he has ticket.

Purpose:
On 19/12/2009 at 0800 hrs. I logged in to http://www.irctc.co.in web site (Indian Railway Reservation web site) for booking tatkal ticket for the travel on 21/12/2009.

Problem:
1. http://www.irctc.co.in was not getting open..it was very very slow. I am using MS-Xp with BSNL Broadband.
2. When IRCTC website was opened after 15 minutes...I logged in to this site for tatkal reservation. It was not getting opened...very very slow. Once opened after 15 minutes...I put starting station and destination. It was not reading...it took more than 20 minutes to get station name.
3. After getting the train names for my travel, I tried to book the tatkal ticket. But to my surprise, it was waiting list 51. I tried on other classes/ other trains but all were wait listed.

Justification:
1. Why such is thing happens? Why IRCTC server becomes slow at 0800 hrs to 0900 hrs?
2. Who is buying tatkal tickets if the server is slow or ineffective/ not working?
3. Why Indian Railways allow such thing to happen?
4. Why the govt is blind? What is happening in between is known to all govt official because they are the culprit. Why govt. servant is not doing his/her job for the public as public is paying their salary.
5. Is there any vigilance official for this fraud?

I lost my faith in indian railway for booking tatkal ticket online.

Indian Railways — Inconvenience and financial loss

I was supposed to travel by 2461 Mandore Exp on 02 Jan 2010 Vide my Ticket PNR no.:[protected].Before that i was travelling by 2443 Bhubaneswar Rajdhani exp vide my Ticket PNR No.[protected].but due to the train running late and reaching New Delhi Rly Stn at 2110hrs instead of 1035hrs on 02 Jan 2010, it resulted in my failing to catch the Mandore Exp with no fault of mine.In this whole thing i lost Rs 933 the cost of my train ticket from Delhi to Jodhpur as i cud not even get it cancelled.It was heartening to see a Rajdhani train with such high Reputation to live to running so late and stopping at all the places it could causing inconvenience to all the passengers.
i am not sure if this is the correct place to approach but i could get this add only.Kindly let me know if i could get my money refunded or atleast where should i approach for the same.
I am visiting in Kisan Express from Delhi to Hisar almost twice in a month and booking my tickets in 2nd Seating chair car. But in this coach railway does not given any railway staff who can make sure that only reserved passenger are in the coach.
Hence railway charging the amount for seat reservation but we have to do the fight in the coach to keep blank that seat. some of the time passengers are not leaving the seat so we have to apply force also.
This is very harresement thing. If raily can not apply staff then why they are booking 2nd Class chari car.
Railway applying the reservation chart also on the train coach but not staff.
Also in tha same train I did not find any coach idetification like D3 or D4 in which we are getting seat by reservation counter.
Please make vail the staff and coach identification.

Indian Railways — giving wrong information & misbehave by staff of gct

the staff of ghazipur station furnishing me wrong information because of that my train has miss. when i asked them they missbehave with me & scold me too. due to this reason i miss a very important meeting & i got the heavy loss. please take the appropriate action against that persons [station master & inquiry officer].

Indian Railways — Train not halting on Platform

My parents left by the Gandhidham-Nagercoil Express(6335) from Vadodara on 8Jan'10. They reached their destination Kumta the next day at about 11:30a.m.The train halted not at the platform but at the next railway track which was having no platform on either sides.My old parents had to face difficulties in alighting the train. This neglience on the part of the railway authorities can lead to serious accidents. Such incident has taken place many times.Concerned authorities should look into this matter with serious consideration .
sir i have booked my 2AC ticket from howrah to madurai in Train N0.2665, I was unable to board iven to at howrah and boarded at bhubaneshwar, my confirmed ticket A1, 26 was given to some other person. When I reported regarding this to the Cabin incharge/TTE he told that as i didnt report at howrah so i have allotted and now i am helpless. then i travelled in standing through out the journey. TTER asked me to cancel the ticket and come by other train. How is it possible? this train is available only once in a week. This for your kind action regarding this issue.
During Traveling from Jabalpur to Patna Dated 4th/ 5th January at Between Mugalsarai and Buxar any body Pick my Blue Color bag at time between 5.45 am to 6.10 am. I have sit on Sleeper S/[protected]
at that time I have not complaint in Patna station. so I written the complaint this time.

Eastern Railway — Forceful collection of money at Durgapur Railway Station

At the Railway Stations, it is supposed that using of the Urinals are free. But at Durgapur railway Station, thugs are sitting outside of each and every toilets and claiming money for using urinals. Is it as per law?

Indian Railways — Railway Concession

Sir,
I had taken a student concession from the college for a journey from mumbai to khed as well as a concession for a journey from khed to mumbai.I was given a concession for travelling from mumbai to khed
but when I asked for the same at khed station, the ticket provider refused the same and told me that there is
no such concession available.My journey is going to commneced on 24th jan.
What should I do to get a concession?

Indian Railways — Missing Vehicle (Parcel)

Hello Sir/Madam,

This is Srikanth Nutigattu, I have booked my Motor Cycle CBZ Extreme ( AP 28 CC 4137) from Chennai Central Railway station to Secunderabad (Receipt no: 264789) on[protected].

On verifying at Chennai they say that the vehicle has been sent on[protected]. But hasn't yet arrived until now[protected].

The vehicle seems to be missing and no body has a clue where the vehicle is.

Please help me in getting my vehicle back.

Indian Railways — decrement in pension amount

sir,i retired from northern indian railways (moradabad) on 13 jun 1995.my PPO no [protected].my pension account no [protected] in bank of baroda,bhitargaoun kanpur nager .there was a decrement in my pension from Rs 7220 to Rs 4550 wef sep 09 which is still continuing .i approached to bank manager ,he didnt look after the matter properly.

Here I want to tell you about my horrid time I had to go through at NJP Rly Stn due to wrong information from "139". I had booked a 3T AC ticket with my wife & 2 kids from NJP to GHY on 27/01/2010 by the 2056 NE Exp. The train was actually late by 23 Hrs. This information was very much wrongly given to me - 139 told me that the train will reach NJP at 01:20 AM (28/01/10) & the train has left Katihar at 11:15 PM (27/01/10). On enquiry at NJP Rly Stn over phone, one person told me that the train will reach at 02:00 AM (28/01/10) & another person told me that the train will reach at about 04:00 AM. I thought that 139 will be correct, so I reached the stn at 12:30 PM at night, only to know that the train has departed from Patna at 10:00 PM (27/01/10) & it'll reach NJP at 07:AM in the morning of 28/01/2010, which was very very frustrating & irritating for me and my family. I has to wait in the stn platform for the whole night in this cold with my wife & 2 Kids(below 8 yrs of age), as the waiting rooms & retiring rooms were full. Had I got the information correctly, I could have easily come in the morning at 07:00 AM. THE ENQUIRY SYSTEM OF INDIAN RAILWAYS WAS VERY VERY POOR FOR ME THAT DAY. 139 IS NOT JUST FOR PNR ENQUIRY, SEAT AVAILABILITY, ETC. That day the enquiry people at NJP Rly Stn were not at all aware of the actual position of the NE Exp.
I think this should not be repeated & request you to see that the passengers (specially those traveling at night) should get the accurate information of their respective trains, otherwise this type of problems will happen again & again.

Indian Railways — Refund for cancellation

PNR - [protected], train 2909 from mumbai to delhi, 23rd Jan. Had to cancel tickets 3 hours before scheduled departure of train as it was 22 hours late. Refund rules state :
"REFUND DUE TO LATE RUNNING OF TRAINS
Full fare shall be refunded in case of cancellation of tickets due to late running of trains more than three hours provided that such tickets are cancelled before the actual departure of the trains."
But when I cancelled ticket, I got only 50% refund. IRCTC says its Indian Railways problem and not theirs.

Please suggest what to do
