Tata Sky — poor service

i purchased a tata sky set top box on 18 feb 11..the assurance given by the dealer M/s Sree agencies (mobile no. [protected]) was that by 1100 hrs on 19 feb 11 the engineer would come and install the connection. Its been 72 hrs since then nobody from the company has contacted me or come for installation..on questioning the dealer he refuses to help saying now its my problem to get after the customer care of tata sky..I have made numerous calls to tata sky customer care but there has been response from their side..indeed very pathetic and discourteous service from tata sky..I would very strongly urge everyone not to subscribe for tata sky..I want a refund of my money and i want the tata sky to explain in writing for this delay in installation. Further i want action taken against the dealer for misleading customers...

Tata Sky — poor picture quality in most channels

I am a subsriber having ID [protected]. For last 10 days I am not getting proper quality of pictures and sound in most of the channel.I have already complained to your Bhubaneswar office located at CRP square personally but nobody has attended it sofar. Pl. attend the same by today. my contact no is [protected].

Unfortunately i am also a tatasky subscriber. i installed my tatasky when it was launched, and i installed it because our cable guy never attented to our complaints and the transmission was also very poor.I prefer more of malayalam channels and the cable guy hardly gave us 2-3 channels.that prompted me to go for tatasky (a big mistake). intially they gave 3-4 malayalam channels and promised to increase the channels in the coming months, and should say they added 2-3 channels more to the list. now came the package gimmick... i have opted for a south jumbo pack, coz if i need all the malayalam channels the i need to take that pack.if i go for south starter pack then i won't get any other hindi or english channels.then if i go for south saver pack, there again i get those channels which i hardly like to watch.(zee, star channels not available) they smartly made the packs in such a way that u have to go for the complete pack.And its been more than 1 year they have added any malayalam channels, when other dths aregiving more than what tatasky is providing.
initally they had promised for some radio service also, but i haven't seen any radio service.
it is very clear, tatasky is fooling the coustomers.

According to dish networking the transponders have to face the satellite so it has to be facing the proper direction and this is applicable to all DTH providers. The customercare are very helpful you will have to just keep following up and take their case no. provided. My friend too discontinued his service since he was shifting but did not face any such problem like that.
In no website of Tata Sky or even its parent organsation Tata Son is a postal address or e-mail ID provided to enable anyone wanting to contact them.

I HAVE PAID FOR RECHARGE ON AUGUST 26 AROUND 11 AM AND EVEN AT 8 PM ON AUGUST 28 (TODAY) T HE ALERTON THE SCREEN SHOWS THAT THE RECHARGE HAS NOT BEEN MADE AND THE ADD ON CHANNELS PAID FOR HAVE BEEN BLOCKED. THE DISTRIBUTER TO WHOM THE PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE SAYS THE AMOUNT HAS ALREADY BEEN DEDUCTED FROM HIS ACCOUNT AND THAT NO RESPONSIBLE PERSON IS AVAILABLE TO REPLY WHY THE RECHARGE WAS NOT DONE. HE SAYS HE COULD TALK ONLY TO A CALL CENTRE WHERE NO ONE ANSWERS AS TO WHY THERE IS THIS DELAY.

MY EXPERIENCE, AS A SUBSCRIBER, IS THE SAME. THE HELPLINE NUMBER CONNECTS TO A CALL CENTRE MAKING YOU SPEND HOURS PRESSING BUTTONS FOR VARIOUS SERVICES,
PAYING FOR THE MOBILE CHARGESWHILE, ULTIMATELY, THERE IS NO RESULT AND THE COMPLAINT GOES UNATTENDED.

I HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE WITH TATA AIG. BOTH t-a AND t-s TALK VERY SWEETLY AND POLITELY TILL THE PAYMENT IS IN THEIR HANDS. AFTER THAT ALL YOU GET TO TALK TO ARE TAPERECORDED VOICES OR CALL CENTRE STAFF GIVING FALSE NAMES AND PROMISING ACTION WHICH IS NEVER TAKEN.

Tata Sky — Extra money taken for the set up box

The Tata Sky dish Tv along with the set up box costs Rs.1499.But the dealer took Rs.1500 from me. Now what should I do against them

You have paid the dealer of Tata Sky Rs.1500/ but did you ask him to return the balance amount? that could be the reason. If you have then you need to provide dealer details.
I had a problem regard TATASKY's DTH service.My setop box was not receiving signal(Whenever i switched it on,it displayed NO SIGNAL).
I complained about this on 29/8/2010 and was told they will send an engineer in 48 hours.After 2 days they said i haven't complained at all so i registered a fresh complain and was told an engineer would be sent in 48 hours.This time i also received an sms saying the engineer would come at 5:30 on 5/9/10,When i called up the engineer he said the date was 6/9/10.I was annoyed but then there was no other option then to wait.

Even after so many days,the next day i.e. 6/9/10 ,the engineer shamelessly said he can't come because it was too late for him to come(he was suppose to come at 5:30.I called him up at 6 and he says "its too late sir")

My patience broke and i called up the customer and yelled at them.After this the actually send an engineer.

The problem is solved but this is really poor service and really poor response.If the had to come so late they could have mentioned but they kept on delaying it and kept giving silly excuses.This is REALLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND BAD BEHAVIOR.

I'm really upset and i feel that i took a really wrong decision by choosing TATASKY for DTH services.After being a customer since 2008 i get such response and this was not for the first time it has happened before also.

TATA TO - TATA SKY (SHAME ON DTH ) — NO REPLACEMENT OF FAULTY SET OF BOX

I took TATA SKY dish and set of Box .After three months set of box was not working .
I called to TATA SKY call center for four weeks still no action taken just vacuous assurances were given .They didn't replace my set of box till date .
TATA SKY is very slow in sorting out such matters .
So please DONOT take TATA SKY connection ..if there comes any glitch there is no body to help you out .

Consumer forum and Consumer court are just Sham in India.These courts sucks .What is use of getting justice for 2000 RS DISH when I will be as ghost on this earth .

Small consumer like us can not take any action due to tardy lazy , good for nothing justice system of India .They can just call to from call center .

Better solution throw the set of Box out of house and purchase another from of course from another company.
In case of consumer interests actually INDIA country itself sucks .Bogus and hopeless.

THERE IS NO WAY TO FILE CONSUMER COMPLAIN ONLINE IN THIS MORONIC , STONE AGE COUNTRY ! :(

This company takes two hours to install new connection. But for solving customer complaint they are not bothered.

I would rather suggest the senior management of this company to make their executives fight elections as they are only good at expressing sympathy and giving revised commitments.

I logged in a complaint on 4th of October and they assured that the engineer will visit by 2 pm, then revised it for 4 pm and 7 pm so on....

On 5th again said that someone will visit max by 4 pm.

Surprisingly when i followed up with the call centre again they said that the service team has allready closed this complaint -WHERE IN NO BODY HAS BOTHERED TO VISIT OR CALL.
Executive again asked for the apology and said i am logging new complaint

On 6th they said that against WO no1-[protected], some one will visit by 5 pm

7nth they tried to connect me to their senior and after keeping me hold for 10 min twice they said that he is going to call me.

I recvd a call at 6:30 and was given assurance by 7:30 this is going to get sorted out.

I again called them up at 9:30, they asked me sir plz give us one more day.

On 8th today they said sir system is down, plz call us after half an hour.

Moral of the story : These guys are useless and they should be banned from business if they do not value customers time.

If company is interested to know the names of all the executives, i can provide.

My subs id is [protected]. I have paid you for the annual package for HD connection and for 6 month for my regular connection.

Would like to get rid of this type of experience.

Tatasky DTH Service — No service engineer visited even after 6 days of complaint

I have a TATASKY connection for 2 yrs. I have complained for no signal on 8th Nov (Ref Id: 1-[protected]). After that I got a SMS on 10th Nov saying service engineer will visit on 11th Nov. I have constantly tracked this issue with TATASKY helpline, service center and their website. But no action has been taken yet. It takes lots of effort to their line. After that they promise to send engineer on the same day, but after that nothing happens. I am without TV signal for last 6 days. How they can provide such a bad customer support? Is there any way to get justice for this?

Tata Sky — No Services on Complaints registered

I have complaint non functioning of TATA Sky Digi Box and there is no response received in spite of more than 24 hours expired, also my account is getting debited for last two days for no services .

I had purchased one TATA SKY digicomp no.[protected] on 5th Novemder 2010 from its dealer NEXUS ELECTRONICS (Mr. Nitin Jain), Ludhiana and it was said in next 72 hours of working days the equipment dish would be installed at my home but failed to fulfil the said words, after several reminders or telephonic conversation with Mr. Nitin and Mr. Ravi (Engineer for TATA SKY services from the region) no positive responses from both, representative of TATA SKY committed that dish must be installed by 12th November but today i.e 15th November he asked me for more times as stocks has been finished.

Very poor services given by prestigious/reputed TATA SKY moreover the customer care number for northen India i.e[protected] is not working from last fifteen days.

Tata Sky — After purchasing and making payment, Not a single call from company side.

I have purchased Tata sky online on 10th Nov. 2010. And today is 15th of Nov. I have not got a single call from Tata sky side for installation or anything. When I call their call center, every time I get feed back that within 24 they will call me. It never happens.
I have Tata Sky Satellite TV running in 2 Televisions, under Sub. ID [protected]. In one of the Television, Channels such as Sun TV, Star Vijay and some others were having lot of disturbance. I called Tata Sky on 6th Nov'10, tried out their telephonic support and it did not work. I logged a complaint (Ticket Number [protected]) on 7th November. The auto-response SMS said it will be attended by 4 pm on 7th November. No one came. Meanwhile, we saw one Tata Sky Technician coming to another apartment in the same building few days later and requested him to come and check out in our house also. He promised to come, but did not turn up. I was assuming that this complaint ticket is still Open in their system, because the problem still persists.

Today (17th Nov), I called Tata Sky again and they informed me that the Ticket Number [protected] has been closed by them on 10th Nov itself. When I enquired why, they said that the problem has been resolved by their Remote Support Technical Support Team. They did not check with me.

I today checked the channels which had problems. Now it has become worse - the message says "There is no subscription for this channel". They have in fact cut off the subscription to all the channels which were giving problems and closed the trouble ticket. This is gross cheating of the consumer and I demand an expnanation and compensation from Tata Sky. I have now logged a fresh complaint (Ticket Number [protected]) today and am hoping that someone comes and resolves the problem. I have the Mega Pack Subscription on both my Televisions, which means I am paying subscription for all channels on both TVs. This is the treatment I get from Tata Sky. I shudder to think of what other subscribers (who have subscribed for fewer channels get).

Tata Sky — No service support on signal issue / discontinuation of service

Dear Sir,

I am residing in Sher-e-punjab, Andheri (E) in Plot no.207, flat no.202. Since 27th Nov, am not getting Tata Sky channels service. Have made domestic calls around 8 times to them & international calls from London around 5 times, yet no engineer has been sent to look into the issue. This is after we have taken an extended warranty offer!
Kindly look into the concern, we were promised SLA of 24-48 hours & TATA guarantee when we had opted for this. Till date, 4th Dec, 2010, no service support has been extended even after repeated follow-ups from our end.
We are extremely frustrated and really hope that you caould help us.

Tata Sky Complaints - POOR SERVICE

This company takes 4 months connection. this connection reinstall new address . I am 1 complaint[protected], 5:30PM, comp Id 1-[protected] after[protected], 6:30PM days auto cancel my complaint but tatasky complaint auto cancel after 72 hours .

Tata Sky — Delay in replacement of setup box

Disturbed with your customer care services and technical services.
I have been suffering from the message of ERROR 2 in my set up dgcomm since 30th August and when i called at the service centre, they said they would get it changed by the next day i.e 31st August. One of their engineer did come up to take a note of the error but didn't get it replaced. He didn't have his I.D. He didn't even know about office branches in Delhi and helpline numbers.

Next day i.e.1st Sept i called up again in your centre and had a talk with Miss Meera. She said that she would call back in 2 hrs but she didn't. And today alsoi.e.3rd Sept the same answer was given by Mr. Mahender Singh.

I also came to know that there are no set ups available at Vikas Puri centre since last 8 days.
The irresponsible behaviour of the company employees has forced me to file this complaint. Please do some needful to get our set up box replaced as soon as possible.
