I, Karthik Prakash, am lodging this formal complaint against Airtel regarding unresolved issues under my Airtel Black account (ID: [protected]), specifically concerning broadband connection [protected]_dsl.
The said broadband connection, originally installed at BTM, Bangalore, became unusable following my relocation to Anekal, Bangalore. A relocation request raised between 18th and 22nd February 2026 was declined by Airtel citing non-feasibility.
Following this, I raised a clear request for disconnection on 22nd February 2026 after settling all outstanding dues, as per instructions from Airtel customer care.
However, Airtel has failed to act on the disconnection request. The service remains active as of 25th March 2026, and I continue to be billed for a service that is not in use and was requested to be terminated.
Despite multiple follow-ups with customer care representatives, including interactions on 19th and 20th March 2026, no resolution has been provided. Assurances of callbacks and closure were repeatedly made but never honored.
Additionally:
My Airtel Black services were unbundled and later re-bundled without my consent.
I have been wrongly billed even after the disconnection request date.
The bill dated 18th March 2026 includes unbilled and disputed charges.
This constitutes:
Deficiency in service
Unfair trade practices
Wrongful billing and unjust enrichment
Violation of applicable telecom consumer protection and Quality of Service norms
Relief sought:
Immediate disconnection of broadband connection [protected]_dsl with effect from 22nd February 2026
Full waiver and reversal of all charges levied post the disconnection request date
Issuance of a revised final bill with zero outstanding liability for the disputed service
Written confirmation that no further charges will be levied
Restoration of proper Airtel Black bundling excluding the disputed service, or complete termination of all services as per my request
No objection to port-out of my mobile numbers without any restrictions
I request immediate intervention and necessary action against Airtel for resolution of this grievance at the earliest.
All supporting documents including billing statements and communication records are available and can be furnished upon request.
Regards,
Karthik Prakash
