Airtel — Complaint on SIM ACTIVATION

I have tried to reach airtel store to get duplicate SIM. So let me describe my issue in detail. Around 6 months back I have not got signal in my airtel SIM. So I was out of country hence asked my brother to check with airtel store they claimed the SIM is damagedi need to apply for the new one and I want to be presented in person. So to avoid cancelation of number they asked to recharge it on regular basis.

I have regularly recharged my number till now and 13th Dec I have reached the country. So I went to airtel store to get duplication Sim. I don't have airtel store in my village (Puduvoyal). So I need to go to karaikudi to get duplicate sim. I have reached airtel store and submited original license and they have taken my photo t activate the Sim. They have collected Rs 100 for issuing SIM card and asked to wait for 4 hrs to get it activated. But after a day the Sim didn't get activated. I have called them to chrkc for the status they told me the application is rejected for photo mismatch. The again after couple of days I went to store in person and this time I have submitted aadhar card and again it got rejected.

So when I reached them for the details again they told me it got rejected for photo mismatch this time I have give original passport and been in the airtel store for 3 hrs. This time also the application is rejected for photo mismatch. I have tried for over 5 days to get it activated because all my account and digital acclubts OTP will be issued to this phone number ([protected]) and I dont have any other number to reach any one of them I have borrowing from my cousins and making calls to reach this guy's.

Hence I have explained all the scenarios to the airtel store member. He alsed me to take a temporary number ([protected]) and asked me to pay Rs 300 for the Sim card. So now I have number to reach customers care for details. To make call I have recharge for Rs 298. Now after an hour this number got activated with the sam proof.

Now the airtel is approved this proof but when I submitted the same for old number they rejected it. I have called customer care and efxplain this issue. They have gone through all the details and spoke to airtel store representative but didn't get any solution.

On Sunday again I have tried to reach customer care and when through whole process to connect with customer care represntative after 10min l. He got all the details from.me and told he will not be able to help. So he escalated to higher level again to the new representative I have explained the entire issue but she was having me in the call.and chekcing all the details. Now he suggested me to go to another airwtle sore near me. I have told her the next airtel store is in trichy. Which is around 100km away from.me.

She insited there is no other way other than going to trichy to get this activated. I have asked her who will bear the cost for travelling. Why there is no solution for this issue when everything is digitalised. But she was going on providing the same information to me. The call went for 1hr 10min but my issue was not resolved and tp escalate this further I have got the reference number frm.her.. The reference number QDOCI1BLR[protected]. I want someone to, help.me on this.

My two cents are when the proof has been accepted for new connection why the same has been rejected for old.connection. I have provided original license, aadhar card and passport

I have been regularly recharging the number without using it.

I was not able to transfer Money and not able to reach my well wishes without this number. Last 5 days I lost my peace and put into tremendous mental torture. There is no proper ownership taken by airtel to resolved this issue.

I have gone through alot but not able to put all over this message. I am totally frustrated and searching for all kind of help to escalate thiS.
