Airtel — connection cut off

Dear sir, i am a post paid customer along with Airtell company.today i just received a call fro call center saying you please pay the exiting amount otherwise your connection will be dis connection, so i said its ok if it goes high let the bill come to me and i will pay on time, how can they discount the connection ??? in 24 hr time though i am a postpaid billing .
