[Resolved] Airtel — Connection not feasible after payment and engineer commitment | |||||
I already have three pre-paid and one post-paid 1) i applied for broadband & fixedline. Airtel website showed my area (Amritpuri) is feasible from [protected]. 2) airtel website suggested me the plan feasible to my area. (Amritpuri east of kailash) 3) airtel executive told me that they will collect the documents and payment. (25th aug approx) 4) i surrendered my other broadband connection because 26 is my last date to do that. 5) airtel executive told me "we do not have free ports for you" (27th august approx) 6) i emailed everything to [protected]@in. Airtel.com 7) as per airtel instructions i waited for 24 hours. 8) and fortunately received a call regarding the same from airtel okhla office. 9) the person assured me that landline will be connected within 3 working days "haan sir main khud lagata hu, amritpuri a or b mein, yeh log bachne ke liye nahi laga rahe aapka" (September 3rd) 10) then came airtel area manager manoj (He told me this name), he showed me the port from where the connection will be given. (September 3rd) 11) he made all the documentation, took my passport photograph, all signatures, reassured me the plan. Told me to buy a telephone handset which i did. (September 3rd) 12) he also tool the activation charges of rs.1000 by cash (September 3rd) 13) i asked for reciept, he said i'll get it online which i believed as i was a loyal airtel customer. (September 3rd) 14) on monday (September 5th) i called him up for confirmation he said manoj is on leave, we can provide you a 4g device instead if you want at 2500 15) i called airtel they told area is not feasible (Although i proved that your site says its feasible). In all this i see a clear lack of coordination between airtel. Feels like a fraud to me. I was shown the port, airtel committed me the connection, i disconnected my other broadband, i payed the activation charges, i bought landline handset, i am without broadband since 11 days which is costing me 100 bucks per day. This is the so called 'open network', and shows that largest network fails to provide a broadban & fixed landline in most busy part of south delhi. Complete shame I am surely filing a formal complaint on a govt. Website too. But here it is to how the people how so called largest indian telecom company cheats its loyal user. I have recharged my account for 3g but still it is working on 2g. I have tried a lot to call customer care executive but never connected.

I've been requesting for a billing cycle date change from last 6 months and it is not changed..
Each month I call 121 care number between 23rd and 26th of each month and they provide free 2 GB of data as a compensation.
