[Resolved] Airtel — Delay in transfer of broadband fixed line connection
I had requested address transfer for my airtel fixed line number on 3rd october 2016. The address transfer is intra-city in bangalore. I was told that address transfer will take maximum 7 days The airtel fixed line number is [protected] Reference number for address transfer request is 73756578 Old address: 7th main malleshpalya New address: 11th cross, 10th main malleshpalya. During my first call (3rd oct) due procedure was explained to me and service ticket was raised and i was happy with the promptness. I was told that feasibility check will be done at new address and if feasible i'll be getting connection transferred in maximum 7 days. But after this entire experience with airtel customer and technical support deteriorated. I received call in 2 days on 5th oct and i was told that connection is feasible, with 4 mbps speed to which i said okay and asked to go ahead with wiring. I sent my new address proof in mail to srinivas at hyperlink "mailto:[protected]@gmail.com"[protected]@gmail.com with phone number +91 [protected]. I was not happy sending the proofs to private email address but since mail to hyperlink "mailto:central. [protected]@in. Airtel.com"central. [protected]@in.airtel.com bounced i did not have an option. On 7th oct (After my new address proofs were submitted), i was told that i will be getting connection in 48 working hours. So accordingly i inquired about the connection after 2 days and i was told that dp is choked and connection is not possible at all and i should be going ahead with other broadband service providers. This was not a professional behavior, if the connection was not possible i should have been told within couple of days of my raising request so i would have gone with some other broadband service provider without wasting anytime on my behalf. I wrote to airtel appalate team on email id appellate. [protected]@in. Airtel.com regarding same. I received a call back from them and i was told that ticket is being escalated for quick resolution. After that i have been following up daily with airtel customer care on the number [protected]. During these calls for more than once i was told that the dp choke issue is resolved and i'll be getting connection within 24 hours. But i never received a call from any of the airtels technicians to do last stage of cabling. Today on 20th oct i received a call and mail from airtel team that dp is still choked and airtel will not be able to provide me connection within any stipulated time. The customer care also suggested me to disconnect the airtel connection and go ahead with any other broadband provider. I request airtel team to please look into this matter to get this issue resolved. Was this information helpful?
