Airtel — dth set-top box | |||
Hello, this is Kura Ravi Kiran, I am the customer of Airtel DTH with Cust ID [protected], one 28/8/2019 I had an issue with my existing DVR set-top box so I raised a complaint with customer care to rectify the problem. next day technician came to my place checked the DVR set-top box and informed me that it had some issue which is un-repairable and wanted me to take the new set-top box, so since it was faulty I agreed to take the new DVR set-top box then he told me that the kind of set-top box which am having is no more manufactured and I have to go for HD set-top box or Airtel Internet TV, on the basis of his explanation about the features between two boxes I have chosen Airtel internet Tv and paid the required amount that is Rs 2250/- for up-gradation for the existing customers. Now my concern is the next day Airtel launches new set-top box called Xstream with better features and upgraded version for the same cost which I have paid for the up-gradation. Airtel technician kept me under the dark by not informing about the new up-graded box for the same cost if he had informed me about the new Xstream box I would have ordered for the same instead of outdated Airtel Internet Tv. The older version Airtel Internet Tv has a lot of glitches it takes up a lot of time to star-up voice remote is not working properly maybe that's the reason Airtel technician urged me to go for Internet Tv box in order to liquidate the old stuff. I have paid the same amount for the up-gradation and got the old stuff, I have dropped number of mails to airtel DTH customer care about the issue to replace the Airtel Internet Tv box with new Xstream set-top box, spoke to nodal officer but they keep telling me that Xstream set-top box is not available for my location and once it is available they can help out in some way and another officer asks me to pay the up-gradation charges again. I have called up customer care from other number and enquired for the new Xstream box from Airtel and whether it is available for my location and they have taken up the request to install the new Xstream box and want me to pay 2249/- as up-gradation fee. This whole scenario explains that customer care executives, nodal officer, and the area manager all were lying to me about the non -availability of new Xstream box for my location. I kindly request you to look into the matter and help me out in getting new Xstream set-top box as a replacement for Airtel internet Tv at no extra bcoz I have already paid for the up-gradation. This is to bring to your notice that I had opted for an Airtel Xstream Set top box connection after repeated calls from your sales team. For which, an Installer named Ajay Pandey visited my place (Bandra West, Mumbai - 400050). The engineer tried to mount the Airtel Dish on the same rod on which Tata Sky Dish was previously mounted. But, unfortunately he couldn't assess the problem with the signal and cancelled the call. He even damaged our working Tata Sky Dish while uninstalling it and kept it lying on the ground. He did not even bother to install it back in place. Due to repeated telephone calls to the concerned person he again sent the same installer. I gave him other options to mount the dish but he told me "Mere time waste mat karo mere paas time nai hai bohot calls hai aapko chahiye to Customer Care me mera complain kardo".
There are several dished in and around our buildings that are perfectly working. The installer gave me a number of a person named "Shankar". I requested Shankar to send a "competent" engineer but he told me that he does not want to waste his time on us and will not send an engineer and spoke quite rudely. His number is +91 [protected].
Airtel is loosing business by not even trying to satisfy a customer. I am damn sure that after a few tries the signal could easily be received. The attitude of the engineer was also quite rude. I made a call to the Service Center regarding this but the person was not able to understand the problem. This was an extremely bad behavioral experience which I faced from Airtel, never expected this from a company of such high stature. Airtel has lost my respect and of several other members of our society. Signals for Videcon, TataSky, Dish Tv and all other DTH operators are perfect and why there is only a problem with Airtel. An Airtel Dish has also been installed in the opposite building of ours its working fine. #badbehaviourairtel #unsatisfactoryservice #rudeairtel
