Airtel — I am having problem with receiving Banking messages like balance inquiry

Hello,

I am having problem with receiving Banking messages like balance enquiry, ATM withdrawal or Internet banking messages, OTP messages of any Kind, Even Airtel OTP etc. These kind of important

messages are not receiving on my number. It stooped around February Middle.

Complained on Airtel Customer Care Kerala on around First week of March. They said to deactivate DND as that may the cause. Knowing that it is not the issue, I did that. DND was deactivated on 06-

[protected]:37 (Src : http://www.nccptrai.gov.in/nccpregistry/saveSearchSub.misc). After few days, I started receiving all sorts of junk messages from different shopping, malicious, trade, phising messages

except the important ones.

I called again Cust. Care on 19th March. One Lady addressed herself as "Reshmi" from CC Kerala. She was not for any use as she doesnt know what I am talking about. She was repeatedly blaming

the banks. I asked for a supervisor and was transferred to a person called "Shinod" who addressed as Supervisor on that shift. He too blamed Banks at first and when I asked abt Airtel OTp, He

understand the issue and tried sending Airtel OTP. It was not delivering. I asked him to give me the complaint register number. He said, He could not take it as a complaint but will be addressed very

soon. Felt like, Customer service was taking my issue as joke.

Frustrated Myself logged to Facebbok Airtel Page and posted my issue there. One Mr. Aftab replied that They understand my frustration and will look into it, asked my number and I provided. Somebody

called me around that afternoon said that they are from HO Delhi and asked my issue. I told him everything and issues with Kerala customer care. He said, he will make something out in 48 hours.

After that, I regularly updated the Facebook post regarding the issue and the response was same. They are looking into it.

Today, 25th March, I called CC kerala. Someone addressed as "Kiran" took the call. To be true, From the minute he took the call to end, His tone is just like I am a culprit and he was jsut like questioning

me in police station. I asked the status of the complaint and he said, I have issues only with banking messages and not with Airtel services or OTP ( This was the complaint actually lodged by Shinod, CC

supervisor - Bullshift, Then what I told him and what he heard that day) and again started blaming Banks. I am not in a mood to argue with them, a low level CC agent, who doesnt know anything anbout

what a customer service is. I again asked about the HO guys update. He said, they only made some note on my account details regarding this. I asked him about higher authorities. He just provided me

Nodal Officer details without any delay. This means, They just want to get rid of me from their heads. This shows How poor the CC services are. Not even an apology, but was questioning me like I didnt

paid their bills.

I again updated Facebook page and requested a callback from HO. They said, They are looking in to it. Same reply.

I dont know what they are looking at. Neither the problem solved nor the waiting. I cant do any type of Banking, many logins even, my work need an OTP to mobile. They never understand my situation

and keeps on frustrated.

I am not going to Port my number to some other providers, even though I can. I am using Airtel services (Prepaid around 6 and half years, Postpaid for 2 years all same with this number). Not even a

single time, I forgot to pay their bills before the due date. They dont want to keep such a valued customer and want to flee out of Airtel. I will fight with all means to get this corrected. Why Should I port,

when its a problem with Airtel.

I demand Airtel, a urgent resolution on my issue. And a compensation for my difficulties faced by you people as listed below

1) Frustration due to calling a local Customer care who doesnt care about customers.
2) Difficulties caused by not receiving such important messages like OTP which blocked my ATM card and other transactions.
3) Lack of timeliness and not solved in said time.
4) Instruction to deactivate DND which caused receiving all junk messages as the issue was not beacuse of DND.

I request akosha to please look into this and do the needful to resolve my issue.

Even I am not receiving OTPs on my sorted no. Kindly please some one come up with solution.
i have the same issues. its two months now. go to hell with digital India if i cant get the otp
I am having the Same problem from Airtel. All the important messages like bank OTP, account balance, PayTM OTP, Shopping Site's order update SMS etc. but every time i called to Airtel Customer Care they are blaming Bank. I am the user of Airtel for last 11 years, but it seems that time to say goodbye forever now.
I am also facing issue of not getting OTP from banks, e-wallets and also not getting calls from flipkart, amazon delivery person . Delivery person complains that my number is not reachable all the time. He could reach me only through his personal number.

I tried reaching Customer Care, I received a simple response saying its bank issue. they are not considering the actual issue.. Sick tired of CC support.

Is your issue resolved after porting from Airtel to any other network provider?
I am facing same issues. unable o receive any otp on my mobile. when contacted to 121 they are saying maybe issue in your mobile or the other banks etc. They are not accepting that the issue is from their end. Please look into it urgently
