I am filing this complaint against Airtel for deficiency in service and misleading advertisement. I have recharged my Airtel prepaid number with the ₹349 plan, which clearly includes the benefit of "Unlimited 5G Data." The Airtel Thanks app confirms that my plan is eligible for Unlimited 5G, and I am using a 5G-compatible smartphone in a 5G coverage area. However, as soon as my daily high-speed data limit is exhausted, my mobile internet stops working completely instead of continuing with the promised unlimited 5G service.
To make matters worse, I attempted to register a complaint through Airtel's customer care system, but it repeatedly rejected my correctly entered 10-digit mobile number, preventing me from even lodging a complaint. This has caused unnecessary inconvenience and frustration.
I believe Airtel is failing to provide the service that was advertised and paid for, and its complaint mechanism is also not functioning properly. I request that the matter be investigated, that Airtel be directed to provide the promised Unlimited 5G service or an appropriate refund/compensation, and that necessary action be taken to prevent such misleading practices and service deficiencies from affecting other consumers.
