Airtel — intentionally reducing speed of data card by airtel | |||
I purchased airtel on 11-sep with modem sim number [protected]. This modem gave average acceptable/browseable speed of atleast 100kbs atleast in the first month (1-2mbps was mentioned and shown during sales though). After the first month, airtel people kept reducing the speed month by month and now it is much worse having too much issue with the speed. And their reduced speed is in 2kbps range only and so modem became worthless now. I am summarizing all kinds of issues below which i have been facing everyday and i have all screenshots proof for each issue (Samples attached) and it can be sent along with this case registration. 1. When clicking on a link like in a mail, it starts opening but then it stops without opening the clicked link. And so i had to keep clicking the link multiple times till modem starts getting signal again and then responds to that click 2. Page cannot be displayed issue 3. Page keeps loading and i need to refresh the page or switch on 4. With the crap speed of airtel, essential websites like google mail, yahoo mail, netbanking nothing opens. I have to try moving the modem here and there, switch it on/off etc till it does something but noting works. For 2 mins of work, will it be acceptable to waste hours and hours like this. 5. And top of it, it is highly intolerable when they neglect a response to this issue when i sent 2 mails to their customer support [protected]@airtel on 12nov & 27nov (This is why they take advance payment safely so that they can ignore responses silently). 6. Modem is at the same location but wondering how come the speed is reducing month by month. It is a clear fraud and intentionally being done by airtel at the background inorder to restrict the data usage and so such saved data stolen from existing customers goes to new customers to make more business. With that understanding and headache over speed issues, there is no way they can or they will want to fix this. As part of resolving this issue, i am needing my advance payment refunded after pro-rated calculation according to the way this modem worked and how their speed was (Airtel kept reducing the speed after first month onwards). They can take the full payment in sep (Good speed), half payment in oct, 1/3 in nov, dec. Not much to the surprise, nov & dec are the worst as they can see my reduced data usage for nov & dec because they made the speed in such a way browsing cannot be done and so data is saved for them.
