[Resolved] Airtel — mobile number portability (airtel number) | |||
Hello sir/ma’am, (My number at the bottom of mail) I’m quite an old customer of airtel and ported out from airtel in august due to roaming issues and ported back to airtel after completion of 90 days in other network. The problem is this last mnp. And it is a port-in issue, not the port-out issue. I have got the airtel 3g/4g networks last night (11/11/2017) at 22:00 (10:00 pm) but this is 12/11/2017 (Dd/mm/yy) and more than 14 hours of porting in that i’m not getting any incoming calls or sms! My bank is unable to send me any otp whatsoever! There is a complete block on incoming and when i dial from some other phone it says “you’re dialing an invalid number.” Similarly; sms is neither coming in nor going out. I can make calls though through that ₹5/- welcome token by airtel. Summary: 1. Ported in airtel on 11/11/2017 at 10:00 pm (I. E., networks came in new sim). 2. No incoming calls/sms since then, it’s been over 14 hours. 3. I can make calls but when someone dials my number the call is forwarded to carrier and automated voice says “you’re dialing an invalid number.” 4. Customer care executives have no clue about it. 5. Nov 12, 2017 Complaint marked as Resolved The issue resolved itself after calling customer care twice. BUT I’M DAMN SURE
CC executive did nothing.
First executive said at 11am that wait for 1 hour (standard timings are 30 mins, 2 hrs and 4hrs and rest is 24 hrs and 48 hrs so she seemed to have no clue to me and I just hung up).
I called again and the new guy told me that there’s some technical issue that will be resolved within 4 hours (that’s standard waiting time so I just asked him further but he had no clue apart from knowing what standard waiting time is).
After half an hour, I retried sending START 0 to 1909 that was failing constantly and to my surprise it went through.
I called my number and it came as busy!
I sent a PORT my number to 1900 and it went too.
I called myself again and call came.
Did shopping online, bank otp came.
So! Everything is working after 21hours of getting networks on my new sim card.
Although VODAFONE took 10 minutes in the process where Airtel takes 21 hours. But for various reasons I love Airtel Airtel customer support has been notified about the posted complaint. | |||
