Airtel — mobile service providers | |||
I have been using an airtel prepaid connection since last 10 years. Since last five days my sim card has stopped receiving signal. Assuming the new changes made by the telecom companies, i thought there would be changes in the recharge vaidity and i did a recharge of rs299. Upon query, the customer care office informed that the sim may have defcts and directed me to take a duplicate sim. Contacting the airtel office at kunnamkulam-kerala and took a duplicate sim at the cost of 70rs. Alos it was informed that the sim was disconnected due to a missing in the identity documents. It was conveyed that my date of birth was not entered by the airtel authorities in their system and the same seems absent in the server. The action from airtel has indeed shocked me. The connection was provided after handing over proper id proofs and the same had been provided during sim duplication also. It is quite unfair that a customer has to suffer for the mistake from the service providers. Airtel has followed no ethics in this issue. I have been using this number for my personal as well as official communications and i have been suffering to have my daily communications. I feel being tortured by the company. I went to two of the airtel offices in kerala_ airtel office at kunnamkulam & airtel ho at shornur road, thrissur, kerala. At both of these offices i went in person with all my identity proofs but was shocked to see that the issue can’t be solved from there. I was informed that the sim will get activated within four days once they validate the datas. It has been around 6 days now but my sim remains dead. After my marriage in august 2016, i took a sim for my wife from idea cellular. Later it was also ported to airtel as there was no network for idea in her area. From yesterday onwards, that sim also is dead_ no internet, no outgoing calls!! I dont know whether this action is also related to the issue. I am totally dissatisfied with their treatment.in fact, there is no time with me to beg the airtel offices to get my sim activated because of a fault that doesn’t attribute to me. I sent mails to airtel ([protected]@airtel.in) attaching my id proofs along with the mail and requested to do the needful for reactivate the sim, or else, to do the needful for me to get ported to some other network. The response was unfair_ the email id i have communicated is not registered with them. Inf act, the email id also was filled up by me in the application form when i took the sim. Further, they sent me a link to validate the account which leads to a one time password entry space which i would receive in my 'disconnected sim' (Without signal, i cant receive an otp to that connection). I sent further mails, but no response. I request for an action in this regard. Was this information helpful? | |||
