Airtel — My acount / Airtel Portal access issue

Address:560076

I think I had been accommodating enough on this issue. I strongly feel that the issue is not at all understood even by the top level. If this is the level of comprehension at the top level I had to pardon the guys working at low level.

I don't know if as a service provider you guys will improve or not but definitely service providers like you will make me a genuine story writer.

Let me write the story so that I don't have to explain it to everyone over and over again:

I raised one SR on 9th January to get my online portal account fixed. In my online portal I had account of my brother-in-law added for payment purpose. This particular connection for my brother-in-law was taken in 2013 and lasted for 6 months after which we got it disconnected. My original account is the one which I am using since 2011 in Bangalore and the fixed line number for the same is: 080422XXXXX which is for broadband and fixed line.

To make things a bit clearer let me put the things this way:

1. I have created sign in on http://www.airtel.in/ online portal in 2011 when I took the connection in Bangalore.

2. Added my postpaid airtel mobile number 9632XXXXXX in that portal for payment purpose as well.

3. Later in 2013 took a broadband connection on the name of my brother-in-law in Indore, added his account to the portal as well for payment purpose.

4. My brother-in-law's broadband connection was disconnected, I think after 4-6 months use. I have left the account as it is (not removed from portal) in the portal.

Recently I realized that whenever I login with my userid 9739XXXXXX (the id which I am was using from last 5 years) on airtel portal I keep getting a message saying "Welcome, (My brother-in-law's name)" basically it is welcoming the person whose connection is disconnected long back. I thought that since the account still reflecting in the portal and thus it is putting it that way. On 9th January 2015 I raised the SR to get the old account (brother-in-law's broadband /fixed line account) removed from the portal which was done within a day or two.

Later on when I logged in it started saying "Welcome, Guest". Now if I go by what you are saying then if I will login with non-airtel number then it will say "Welcome, Guest" instead of "Welcome, (My Name)" which was not the case before. Ok, I have been told by the technician that the application have been upgraded and that is the reason from now onwards for non-airtel number login it will say "Welcome, Guest". I agree after all it is your application.

I hope that you do realize now that you are telling me what I am already aware of. The issue which I am now facing or trying to get your attention to is different, let me again put it in points for you:

1. First and foremost I am not able login to airtel portal with my id neither with password nor with OTP. Refer the attached Airtel Authentication Failed screenshot.

2. Second, when I check my account under service for fixed line it display's customer name as "(My Name)" but for broadband it displays the name "Guest". Refer the attached screenshot with the name Airtel Screenshot 1 and Airtel Screenshot 2.

I had been explaining the issue mentioned in point number 2 above to your first line technician and am not sure what they did from the backend which resulted in point number 1 that is I am no longer able to login to airtel.in website with my userid neither with password nor with OTP.

I hope that you do understand it is frustrating to explain this simple issue over and over again via email as well as over the phone.

If you want to contact then contact me via this forum and I will let you know the number / email id to contact. By the way there is a long email chain already going on with Airtel appellate via my registered yahoo account. That email contains my contact number as well. Name and numbers in the above details are marked as X intentionally.
