Airtel — my number is used by someone else | |||
Hello, I have been harassed by airtel to an extent that i'd like to file a suit against them. Here is the series of events / issues of the latest one. 1) at 11:00am on 20th march 2018 my sim card stopped connecting to airtel network and my phone started to show no service. 2) i visited the closest store in koramangala, bangalore and without checking anything the executive blamed the sim card and replaced the sim card and said it will take 4-8 hours to get activated. This was at 3:30pm on 20th march again. 3) i waited and nothing happened, the state of my phone / sim remained at no service 4) all this while all my personal and business callers who were trying to reach me apparently reached to some unknown gentleman called rakesh. And that’s when i realised all my calls were getting redirected to his mobile. I don’t even want to mention the kind of privacy breach and issues this can cause in today’s world. Where you can access half of your online accounts with a simple otp. 5) apparently 11:00am on the same date this gentleman rakesh applied for some mobile number change and that triggered this issue and i was the unlucky one whos account gets messed up because of some unknown person applying for his mobile portability change. I don’t know why (He didn't use my number for change) and funny part is neither does airtel know how did that happen. They have no clue and 48 hours have already passed as i write this email. 6) i have called customer care many times, waited on long holds for upto an hour every time, visited the store personally, spoken to 5-10 executives, 4-5 supervisors and 4-5 managers and in 48 hours no resolution. Everyone says the issue is escalated and will get resolved in 4 hours. False promises. 7) my phone calls are being received by someone else and airtel does not see any issue in this they have just been giving me deadline after deadline to resolve the issue. Still with no solution 8) i’d like to file a suit against airtel for the mental harassment i have gone through waiting for many hours to talk to a supervisor/manager, for the business loss i have had because of no access to my phone and the potential risk of loosing a lot of money if the gentleman receiving my calls chooses to misuse. 9) i hereby hold airtel responsible if any financial loss of any amount that might happen because of this cross connection of my number with someone else. I'll drag you all to highest of the courts in india to compensate me for this. 10) this is utter non sense. Airtel customer care has no sense of how long will it take to fix the issue, they still don’t even understand the issue and i’m left in this state because the it system of airtel got messed up.
