Airtel — Number portability request- after 3 weeks number still not active

I had opted for new airtel connection with number portability as I was dis-satisfied with the services from my current network provider So I filled in my details on airtel site, and got someone from airtel call me up with the available plans and offered me one which suited me, I agreed to take that plan up and requested for someone to give me a call for the sim and the formalities. Now the follow up was done, a guy came to give the sim and collected 250 rs as security deposit. Since 3 weeks, here I am with an airtel sim but no activation even though all the documents as asked were submitted on the very same day. On top of it, it¿s me who is following up to check on the activation. When I called airtel customer care, I got to know that they do not have any details on the new connection for my name and supposedly the sim and formalities were done by an agency and not directly by airtel. Agency name is- Yash communication who are an utter disappointment for the customer. I keep calling these people( Priya is the name of the female who coordinated for the sim with me from yash communications), this lady had stopped attending my calls and I am being given no resolution. People like this lady- Priya are a shame in the name of customer service. My biggest disappointment and worry is that the new service provider who I thought could be considered as a better option than Vodafone have let me down big time. Airtel should think and perform some due diligence before giving subsidiary to agencies like Yash communications who are a complete no sense company.
