[Resolved]  Airtel — Poor customer service from Airtel DTH - [protected]

Hi, Let me begin by saying that I have had airtel mobile connection for around 9 years before I decided to personally disconnect myself completely from airtel mobile due to very poor and pathetic customer service and moved on to vodafone. I have an airtel DTH now for the past 1.5 years. I have moved from one block to another within my apartment about 15 days back. I registered a request for transfer of connection as soon as I shifted. I got a call from an airtel person saying there is an MDU planned for this block and if I were to wait for 5 days, it would save unnecessary work for me. I waited through and again registered a new complaint this time around being ready to pay for a new antenna as I had been using an MDU previously too but again, I just got a call where another airtel person told me he would visit me, check the status of MDU and let me know the accurate status and if I am not fine with the delay, install a private dish unit for me. The person never called back and when I called back, I got another number from him who gave me yet another number. No one came to meet me even after that. I have escalated on this issue three days back and I was positively assured that the airtel personnel would visit me and have not been able to reach me for the past few days regarding this issue (inspite of me talking to 6 different airtel guys so far) and there would be someone at my house from airtel within 12 hours. I did get another call saying they would visit me and check the status and give me an update. With more than 48 hours gone, am still waiting for that 12 hours to complete and for a person to visit. So far, I have spoken to 6 different airtel personnel directed from the phone complaints or redirected from the persons who called on phone who all assured me that they would visit me, check the status and arrange for the connection issue to be resolved. I am deeply disappointed at such a poor service that no matter what, I do not think I want to continue with airtel DTH or go for anything with airtel in it henceforth. I am moving on to another service. I have lost more than the 550 odd rupees that I had recharged before moving from my old residence and around an hundred that I spent on phone calls to the airtel personnel who I called back to check the status; I have lost my faith in airtel as a service provider. Please note that I am also planning to drop out of airtel sphere altogether which includes a couple of airtel telephony connection of my family members (who are irate due to the fact that they have been without TV for a couple of weeks) as well as dropping my plans of getting an airtel wifi.
