Airtel — regarding changing my airtel sim from postpaid to prepaid.

Sir,

I am g. Suresh, assistant professor, vikas college of engineering & technology, vijayawada. Sir, i had prepaid sim with number +91-[protected]. The sim was registered with my relative name. During the aadhar linking process i wanted to change the mobile number to my name. The airtel store people at vijayawada, told me convert the sim to post paid later you can again convert the sim to prepaid. There the problem started.

They have confirmed 499rs/- plan @ airtel store, ilapuram extension center, vijayawada. I thought that i have chance to convert the mobile number to prepaid after i paid the 1st month bill. Later the store people told me to pay upto 3 months to change to prepaid.

I have paid the postpaid charges in january-2018, febuary-2018, march-2018. After 3 successful payments, i called the store person where have taken the postpaid sim. The store person said in phone the network is slow here, you go to benz circle airtel head office, they will convert to prepaid with a thumb impression without any documents.

I went to benz circle, vijayawada, airtel showroom, they told that they require aadhar & photo. I said that i will bring those now please do the process. They told me to stay in postpaid upto 6months it is company rule. I asked them what is the other option. They told me use number portability system & change to other network.

Next day i met reliance jio, network people. They tried the process of number portability. But it was not successful. They suggested me to go to the airtel store only. I went there & they successfully done the processes & told that there will be a call from customer service centre regarding change of network.

The next day my wife received a call from [protected], introduced herseif as ms. Himaja, from airtel customer service centre. My wife explained her the entire problem. The customer care person told to my wife, she will put a mail immediately to patamata, airtel showroom & please go to patamata, airtel showroom, vijayawada to convert into prepaid.

On the same day evening while returning back from college, i went to that store and asked them to convert the sim to prepaid. They also told me to stay upto 6months as per company rule. I told them about the call from customer service centre. At last they gave me the prepaid form & charged approximately 575rs/- for 3 moths unlimited plan which is company rule agian who are converting from postpaid to prepaid.

2 days later today i received a message that document verification is failed.

This process took place from 14.03.2018 to 23.03.2018 (Today). I am suffering a lot with this process.

Please do justice for me. Help me early to convert my sim from postpaid to prepaid, because again postpaid bill will come in 10 days on 09.04.2018. I am feared of those postpaid bills. Lot of headache also.
