[Resolved]  Airtel — Service Disruption and EMBARRASSING & FRUSTRATING RESPONSE from Airtel

Respected Consumer Complaints Forum, Warm Greetings of the Day. Myself, Mohammed Rajeeb.K.A, has been using the No.[protected] with M/s. Airtel for more than 3 years. I have given My ID proof details (Through Easy Distributor office at Thrissur) while porting from M/s. IDEA Cellular Ltd. I was able to use the connection freely for some time. After that, Airtel asked me to resubmit the documents. Even though I was unhappy, I submitted it again (Through Airtel authorized dealer at Thrissur, V-Connect). After that, I received the verification call from Airtel which was successful & I have been using the connection Oct 17. Now, on Oct 18 evening, My outgoing was barred. When I checked with the customer service, they asked me to resubmit the documents. This is not acceptable. I don't know, what Airtel peoples are doing with the ID proofs which I already submitted. I informed them about my previous document submittals & requested them to release the outgoing, since I was traveling to UAE on very next day. But they didn't help me. Later, the incoming facility was also barred on Oct. 23. On Oct 24, I put an email to the Airtel's 121 customer care explaining all the issues. No action was taken, even though I reminded them on Oct 30. On 31st Oct, I got a reply from nodal officer asking me to resubmit the documents only & not a proper explanation for the issue. On 4th Nov, appellate officer also repeated the same. Meantime, I came back to India on 2nd Nov. Hence, I submitted the ID proofs at Airtel Relationship centre @ Thrissur, Kerala (My District). The Airtel Relationship Centre peoples informed that, My sim will be active by evening or next day before 2pm. But, it didn’t happen. So, I wrote again to Airtel's appellate officers (Mr.Harshit & Ms. Sakshi Tiwari) and informed them about the SIM Enrolment form No. & contact details of the ARC. I got a reply after 2 days, asking for my SIM no. which I responded immediately. After that, the issue continued to crawl. The only response I use to get is different types of excuses & some advises to wait. I have contacted many Airtel appellate officers (Mr. Harshit, Ms. Sakshi Tiwari, Mr. Vijay, Ms. Rajani, Mr. Nitish, Ms. Sugantha, Mr. Ankit Talan etc…etc). But other than hearing excuses or acting as if they will resolve the issue in the next 2 or 3 days, I never received any output. I have repeatedly complained about this irresponsible nature. But nothing improved. I also reminded Airtel about the fact that, “My no. is a ported one & the issue is not even 30 days old. So, kindly act at least now to avoid future excuses like, the situation is out of their control”. But Airtel peoples didn’t consider the request & continued to copy paste the excuses. On 25th Nov, I strongly criticized Airtel's appellate officer Ms. Hemavathi for copy-pasting the excuse given to me many times before, rather than investigating the issue. For that, nobody responded & as usual, kept themselves mum. It is really a Big Surprise for me, how these reputed high officials are acting this much irresponsible. I expect you to consider this matter with priority & make some interference from your support staffs to resolve this issue. Believing that, I will get a proper resolution at least this time.
