Airtel — Unable to get the status of the payment i made for my outstanding amount | |||
On July 9th I made two payments of 541 towards the outstanding amount of two numbers that I have through netbanking. Both the payments went through and I got a acknowledgment on the registered mobile number as well that the payment went successful. However just a minute later, I got a message from the Airtel that one of the payments didn't go through. A few days later I observed that there was no reversal of this amount given to me by the HDFC bank. I contacted my bank and provided them all the details. They had further contacted the merchant to check the status of the payment and got a confirmation that both the payments had gone through. I contacted Airtel to inform them of this status and the confirmation that I had received from the bank. The airtel customer care agents haven't agreed to this as yet. I have just received a response from them that the transaction failed as the card I had used for the payment had expired. This is utter rubbish as through netbanking i dont use any card details.
