[Resolved]  Airtel — Unable to recharge after converting SIm from postpaid to prepaid

I have converted my Airtel number ([protected]) from postpaid to prepaid today. When I try to recharge error msg appears 'Please enter a valid Airtel number'.

I checked with the customer care as well, they said that the number is active and functional. I can receive calls but not able to make any outgoing calls because of insufficient balance. I tried to log a complaint at Airtel site, but after filling the details I cannot even click the Submit button. I have been using the same number as postpaid for years. This is a very poor service from such a reputed brand.

I am also having same problem but sent mail to [protected]@in.airtel.com waiting for response. After conversation from postpaid to prepaid not able to recharge online.

And why on Earth did you rate these stupid Airtel people 5 stars? :P
I have change my airtel #[protected] postpaid to prepaid on 19th june 2017 and after that i am not able to recharge.
Airtel has become very poor in service which i never faced since years.
instead of many complains airtel customer care is not resolving the issue.

The moment I am able to recharge my prepaid, I will port out of stupid Airtel.

It has been a month since I converted from postpaid to prepaid and I couldn't recharge my mobile either online or at payments bank. I need to go to Airtel Relationship Center for recharge and even after complaining about it over there, this issue doesn't resolve.

Same with 2 others I know. Airtel doesn't care?
Same here. Did a stupid MNP from Jio as I needed Airtel for a specific purpose. Jio was brilliant. It is a within circle MNP. Unable to recharge so unable to call or text. Cant even port for 3 months now.
Same problem stupid airtel told they will reslove the matter in 3 days but it has been 10 days wtf. When they want us to convert to postpaid they get it done in 2 days but to prepaid not responding properly ###.
It has been a month since I converted from postpaid to prepaid and I couldn't recharge my mobile either online or at payments bank or from a retailer. I need to go to Airtel Relationship Center for recharge and even after complaining about it over there, this issue doesn't resolve.
I too have the same problem. I tried converting from postpaid to prepaid and now unable to recharge. Airtel store guys r helpless. Contacted customer care and they don't give a TAT for resolution. They give some denomination of recharges which will deduct the amount from bank but will not get recharged.
I am not able to recharge after migrating from the postpaid to prepaid.
Airtel people not worth to get "0" rating, Airtel network become worst nowadays. Out of experience I am telling kindly don't take airtel network connection, Those people are liars, cheaters, big frauds. I am not getting any bad words to scold them. Even I am facing same problem with airtel people, I understood one thing these people never service for a long time If they keep the same service in future.
Same issue occured to my Airtel number aslo, but try to do recharge from Google pay if you have, it's now working I am able to make calls from my postpaid to prepaid converted number

This problem still exists. I converted my postpaid sim which I have been using for 11 year to prepaid. I did this at Airtel store . The representative was sure the conversion was successful. When they tried to recharge the mobile number, it kept failing. They have been trying for past two days still they know how this can be resolved . Now when I check these posts which 5 years old I am not why such issues are not corrected. Not sure they will be able fix the issue. I may have to port the number to different service provider. Never expect such issue with Airtel and they keep boasting abt their service. Not sure how they are planning to reduce the complaints count to zero, if they dont know how to resolve the issues.
