[Resolved] Airtel — Unethical Behaviour | |||
The whole issue started with my internet services going down on 1 June. This was raised as an service request 56238802 in airtel. Despite multiple follow up with the customer care they kept postponing the issue after saying "As per our discussion it is postponed" when no body got in touch with me also and nobody seemed to be interested in even taking up the issue. Finally on 6 June night the issue was resolved after considerable loss of time, money and peace of mind for me. But among other serious violations of customer rights I saw Airtel was charging me much higher than what is stated on website and in ads throughout because I hadn't officially migrated to these plans . So I wanted to migrate to a plan that was available now in the market. I was already subscribed to 1649 80 GB 4 Mbps and wanted to change to 999 60 GB 4 Mbps. For what should have been a minor update and few minutes work the customer care person now refused to do this stating some back end issues. Now again I tried to reach back after 2 days and again they are not allowing me to change the plan and are not even giving me an option while I continue to pay extra. They also said I can't have request number so that I won't have a proof of this communication. Understanding this I kept following up our communication on emails and part of it is attached as proof. I have more email communications proving the way airtel is taking customer for a ride. I kindly request the authorities involved to take action against all the people involved or guide me in right direction so that airtel becomes answerable for this kind of behaviour from their employees. Just placed a call at 9:28 am on Saturday Jun 20th to 121 and Spoken to a Floor Manager by name Sarfaraz. I asked him the escalation number given was not working. He is least bothered and says that number only works from Monday to Friday and I cannot do anything now. When I requested for his manager, he says he is yet to come to office and officially confirmed on Voice Recording saying, I cannot do anything now..You just have to wait with no specific time frame even after pleading saying I cannot call my Family. This is how irresponsible AIRTEL is and Having Staff like Sarfaraz would only makes the things even worse !!

Airtel doesn't even bother even after complaining that I’m not able to call my FAMILY. I’m officially gone lodge a complaint with the Police and right authorities regarding this issue. If AIRTEL has such an irresponsible attitude towards human life, why should you even run the Company and advertise all the false promises everywhere. When I request for the Escalation phone numbers, you are giving the false information as well. I was given "+91 [protected]” on Jun 20th Saturday Morning around 9:15 am and when I try to call that number, it says, its available from Monday to Friday only !! How can that be an escalation number !!
