I travelled to the us on april 28th. During my travel i have picked up matrix card for my international calling. Airtel has activated international roaming - incoming calls free option with rs. 3999 as monthly charge.
Airtel has not notified me about activating the roaming charges on my account. Total bill amount came upto rs. 5.195.
From the time i have discovered about wrong charge, i have started calling the airtel customer care.
Dravya – may 15th 12.20 pm interaction id– [protected]. During this call dravya promised to me that the wrong charge will be reversed. But she did not record the same in her system.
Lakshmi may 19th. 8.18 pm interaction id – [protected]. I called them again to check on the status. Lakshmi promised me that she is going to escalate this to concerned department and the issue will be resolved within 48 to 72 hours. I have not received any call from them again. I have recorded this call. Lakshmi accepted that i was not notified of activating roaming charges and it was airtel;s mistake.
Jayshree may 25th – 2.30 pm - interaction id [protected]. I have called them again and to my surprise lakshmi did not record anything in their system about calling me back and resolving the issue within 48 to 72 hours. Now jayshree has committed that she has escalated the issue and the issue will be resolved soon. I had to wait for 1 hour to talk to the representative. This is really annoying and frustrating.
I have told them to charge the call i would have picked up while roaming which shows on the bill as rs. 380.
I need your help in resolving this issue. I have recorded the last two calls. As airtle representative accepted that it was they mistake not to notify me and without me asking for activing international roaming they have activated this facility. So, request your help to reverse this unfair bill amount.
