[Resolved] Axis Bank — axis asap account registered on mobile without in person kyc is charging me for sms charges | |||
In february 2018, i saw an ad for axis asap account that can be opened on mobile with zero balance. I downloaded the app and opened account with aadhaar card. I didn't do any kyc at any of their branches. A few months later i got sms from axis bank that they have registered my kyc with central kyc registry. I don't understand how that is possible when i have just given them my aadhaar number and never done a full kyc. Again, to my surprise, i checked that asap app on my mobile and found that my account balance is negative -35 rupees. I did a google search and found out that all these months they have been charging me for value-added sms service without my permission and on an account that hasn't done full kyc. I need proper action taken against axis bank for fooling people in the name of zero balance account charging them money for a bank account they didn't do full kyc for. Please stop this scam. Also, i want to shut down this bank account and never ever bank with axis bank again. Apparently, it will cost me rs.500 close this account.!! Why should consumers be fooled liked this by banks?
