[Resolved]  Bajaj Allianz — fire insurance claim

I am just fed up of following up with this company for my claim amount.

My house caught fire on 1st oct 2017. I registered a claim the same day. It's been 3 months, and i still don't the claim amount in my account. Everytime i followed up, i used to get an excuse stating it is being processed. Finally, in dec, i was told that the claim amount has been released and the cheque is being sent to my address. However, bajaj sent the cheque via speed post (The company is so miserly, that they don't have the capabilities of sending the cheque through the normal courier service). The ips did not even bother to deliver the cheque to my address, and just stated that the addresses has shifted out of the property. The cheque was returned to the bajaj office (As per my discussion with the ips office). I followed up with the bajaj people again today (2nd jan) and was told they don't have the cheque now.

I am trying to get another cheque issued since the money is pending since 3 months. I have to pay off my creditors for the repairs in my house. However, the company is refusing to issue another cheque, especially when it is no fault of mine that the cheque has gottent returned, and now possibly lost as well.

Is this the way the company treats their customers? When the premium amount is due, they will make 10000 calls to the customers and keep following up until the payment is made. When the claimant makes a claim, companies like bajaj trouble the claimants, as if we are begging for our own money.

Extremely pathetic company; the bank insured my house with bajaj at the time o[censored]ndertaking the loan. Under normal circumstances, i would have never taken an insurance from bajaj allianz. Absolutely pathetic customer service and even worst customer experiences.

I will be bad mouthing this company on facebook and other social media websites as well. Will make sure my woes are heard wherever possible.
