[Resolved]  State Bank of India — ATM card annual fee charged TWICE

STATE BANK OF INDIA charges ATM-cum-Debit card annual fee TWICE. One for an existing card and Another for a non-existing card that was surrendered sometime in the year 2007.

The blighter at the previous SBI branch in Girgaum, Mumbai does not do his/her work of cancelling the card while branch transfer to SBI, Chembur. After discovery of the double charges, the customer care agent asks me to go to the branch and dance around for no mistake on my part. As if I have no other work to do.

Wah re India......Wah re State of India. I am certain lakhs and lakhs of customers get their money knocked out and fleeced in this way for some or the other reason for no fault of theirs. Enough to pay for the salaries of all the rank and file at SBI. I was told the unnecessary charges debited cannot be reversed. However, I will not be charged from next year onwards. Who knows, then I may have to face some other theft to fund SBI's unfair business practice.
