[Resolved]  Bosch Home India — New washing machine

I had booked one washing machine (front load) of WAT2846LN 7.5 kg vide Invoice No JB688 dt 31/08/2020 by paying Rs.36063/- at Arjay Retail Show room, located in Jayanagar, Bangalore 560011 (ph[protected]. The machine was delivered on after 4 days and the technician came on 14th September 2020. We had in the beginning only informed the showroom people that our house is in 2nd floor and proper care to be taken for delivery. At the time of delivery it was found the first step was narrow the machine has to be lifted upto first floor. When the technician opened the machine it was found that the front machine gasket has come loose. He told that it was manufacturing defect and we have a choice of asking for replacement or refund.

When we enquired with the company people, they (Mr Yash Rai – Manager Bosch company) told that the company will take responsibility upto delivery to ground floor and after that it is the owners responsibility and the defect was due to improper handling and the company is not responsible. If we are ready to take the responsibility, then they will provide a replacement, which we were not ready (which policy must have been invented by the Company person by himself). This issue was discussed jointly with the show room person Mr Srinivas and the company person Mr Yash Rai mANY TIMEs, and we insisted for repayment of the invoice amount as the company does not have any machine of a smaller size. Mr Yash Rai of Bosch company asked to send the account details with pan card and photo ID which was given on 23rd September 2020 and he promised that it will be credited in 15 days time.

From October 5th 2020, we (me and my wife) had made many attempts to contact the show room person Mr Srinivas and Mr Yash Rai and he kept on saying it will be done this week, next week, etc, but on 28th October 2020 he told it was not possible to refund the amount and started telling some ### stories. Subsequently, we made umpteen number of attempts to contact Mr Srinivas of the Arjay Retail Show room and the calls remain unanswered.

Now it is 2 months since we have booked, but the co operation from the company person Mr Yash Rai is very casual, non committal, careless, negligent, inept, incoherent, non responsive and non co operative which is visible from failure to return the call or not answering or giving any response and also not keeping up his words. I am working as Company Secretary and HR Manager and find it how the company is managing with such kind of a person. The unusual experience from this episode has made my BP level to increase many fold and without proper solution, do not find any choice except filing a suit for the following:
a) Refund of the invoice amount of Rs.36063/
b) Payment of damages for mental tension, harassment Rs.30000/
c) Unconditional apology letter from Mr Yash Rai for treating a CUSTOMER like an unwanted CUSTOMER
In this regard, if you need we will provide call list from Airtel centre and Vodafone centre which my wife uses) regarding the number of calls made to the show room person and Mr Yash Rai in this regard. I am sending whatsapp message sent to Mr Yash Rai in this connection.
Further this experience holds me back from having any future contacts with the company or its products or to recommend it to other friends.
