Ak Cars (Abulkalam Cars) Complaints & Reviews
Fraud
| Address: AK Cars (Abulkalam Cars) New Airport Rd, Survey Number 235, Mhada Colony, Viman Nagar, Pune, Maharashtra |
I am sharing my experience of buying a Used car from Ak cars.
Actually, I am an international student following my studies here in Pune so, at that time, I was not well aware of the fraud, etc.
I bought an I 20 Sportz 1.2 from Abukalam cars (also named AK Cars) located in Viman Nagar 2 years back almost.
After 2 days the car suddenly broke down; The car's main fuse was burnt so the dealer had connected it directly which resulted in ASM's damage.
Moreover, the odometer tampered manually; as written on the receipt, the car was driven 35, 000 kilometers but when I checked in the company it was 69, 000 kilometers.
I discussed the matter with the dealer, he, very rudely, refused to admit it and told me that it was my mistake.
I wrote a review also on google with the attached pictures illustrating the fraud.
I spent a fat amount to change the ASM and repair the other parts.
Now I'm done with my course and leaving India but it was one of the worst experience of my life encountering fraud.
I hope the consumer complaint forum does something about it so that other fellow Punekars don't fall into this dealer's trap.

fraud odometer readings - engages in odometer tampering
| Address: 411014 |
I just thought to share my personal experience and warn all of you not to venture anywhere close to this used-car dealership called abulkalam cars (Also called ak cars) in viman nagar, pune (On the new airport road).
I recently purchased a used hyundai verna 1.6 sx vtvt from this bloke and the odo showed a reading of 47, 714 km when i purchased it.
Firstly, the guy did not accept the full payment via neft/rtgs and insisted on part cash stating gst as the culprit and as far as my limited knowledge goes, gst does not apply for used good... May be wrong here though.
Secondly, i made the big mistake of trusting the salesrep and the owner and did not go to hyundai service to get a full service-record because
Now, i go to get the car serviced and turns out it has run 1.2 lakh kms
Go back to this guy's office just a week after purchase and now it is not his problem anymore and that it was my duty to check the service history from hyundai.
All-in-all, i am stuck with a verna with more than 100k on the clock and looking for a way to get out of this mess.
Just to warn others, this dealer is not trustworthy and i would advise all members to avoid this guy at all costs.
I have a feeling though not verified that most of the cars with this dealer are such odometer tampered cars
